Love loads of comedy and cuteness in a ennemy-to-lover short story? This show is for you

I just finished this drama and I'm writing this with a big fat smile on my face.

This drama was nothing spectacular. There was no strong emotion (no one died a tragic death or has been horribly bullied), there was no big scary villain, no weak and machiavelic plots to ruin the lead, no truck involved.... But I enjoyed so much my time while watching this drama.

It's just a romance with a classic trope CEO/Poor girl but it's really well made. It was really fun to watch, a real comedy were you're bound to laugh every episode, some scenes were straight absurd but it was kind of well made to be fun and I like this kind of humour so I totally enjoy the awkwardness and cringyness here.
The fact that her step mother and step sisters loved her like a real child/sister is also a good and enjoyable surprise considering the references to cinderella.

One thing I didn't like at first though is witnessing too much FL's self pity party. She kept saying that she is no one and nothing, no one love her bla bla bla, but as the show progress you can understand that it's part of the story and her journey to self love. So even that was finally not as maddening as it used to be in other dramas.

So that's it, If you want a cute little romance with ton of fun where the leads hate to love each other (or love to hate each other ??? ), watch this drama.

Mr Plankton or how to turn an awfully sad fate into a fun story.

At first you get some "uncontrollably fond" vibes but you quickly understand that it is totally different. This drama is like its main character, it does whatever it wants, it's never really serious and it literrally ends with him. You can like or dislike the end but it actually stays true to itself.

You keep smilling even in teary moments,. Sometimes, you feel the sadness and the heartbreak but end up laughting...
You can like or dislike that but we have to recognize that it's a prowess and salute the actors skills.
Plus, the chemistry between the leads was good even when they were exes so it really didn't disappoint on the romance part.

A wee bit disappointed by the OST tho. It's a mini kdrama and what we've got is not bad but it feels like they didn't put in too much effort.

Daily life love, breakup and craziness

Surprisingly, I would like to watch this drama again some day.
It's nothing special tho, nothing spectacular, no vicious scheming or ploting, no accident, no villains or character drived by evil intentions.
The drama is good enough on several dimension to be kind of self sufficient.
Just daily life, love and breakup, how to overcome (or to be overwelmed by) the bad moments, how feelings are difficult to deal with when it's not someone else having them...
Realistic breakups, good love story, lovely partners.
The production's good with no flat or boring moments, the drama is fun (it's totally a comedy even if we could have had as much fun with a little bit less alcohol...) and I'm totally convinced by the actors' performances.
2 OST are not leaving my mind. I woke up 2 days in a row to this beautiful sound on auto repeat in my head and I randomly hum it during the day...
A good enough ending even tho not totally satisfiying. Maybe it was rushed...

Side note : I like the fact that she redefined the meaning of a happy ending as an ending she choose even when she feels sadness from it.
However, I'm not totally ok with the drama perspective saying that love needs to be expressed out loud.
Expressing love while not showing it, is not love.
Sure, it's reassuring and it feels nice to hear those words but I think that without the little daily gestures that shows one's love, Love can't be Love.
The little gestures are the key of a lasting love in my opinion because Love is respect, acceptance, kindness, benevolence, compassion and clemency. Things that can't really be expressed with words.
So I didn't like forcing ML to say it out loud when she obviously saw and knew about all his little gestures for her, about his habits and way of love (from all the secrets they share about their previous relationships and breakups, she would have some cues, wouldn't she?).
While he accepted her as she is, she asked him to change because she needs it.
While saying she keeps falling in the same schema again and again but whatever, she's like that and she accept it, she forced him to say what he never said (or she wouldn't want a relationship with him).
I felt like maybe at some point it was proudness that stopped him before but not with her. With her, it feels more like just long ingrained fears. I would have loved if she accepted his way of love and, while just explaining and showing what she needs from him, let him some time. If he loves her, obviously this kind of man will eventually do it.
I would have been as pleased if not even more if he didn't confess with words as long as he genuinely shows it. Is the drama not being about loving someone by accepting and understanding them even through their flaws?

A badass (amazing) drama, gives weak hero class vibes (but less dark)

7/1/24 : First episode, last minutes till the end of it and I am all exited !!
Like toes curling, hands griping the seat... Love the vibe, love this start
I really had to take a break to write this and share !!

7/1/24 : Halfway through it and It's still so cool to watch

7/2/24 : More than half into it, I didn't change my mind. This drama is so cool. I don't have words, It's seems like I lost all my vocabulary with this one and I can't be more precise but it's the kind of drama I want to share and talk about, I want to watch it with someone, love it with somebody.

7/2/24 : The drama is amazing. Even tho it's not the final I wanted and expected, it's still good and it's still hard to let go of the characters. I'm still crying right now because I get attached to ML and I'm so sad there is a end for me. I'd like to know so much more, stay some more to discover more of his personality and the friendships he built just being a wonderful human being.
For sure I'm going to rewatch this

Chef Kiss

the cherry on the top after the drama No Gain No Love
Sometimes we need more of the second couple and this spin off delivered
It was so so fun to watch, so entertaining I was sad there was only 2 episodes of it. This story definitely should have been a drama on its own.
I loved the characters and the actors who I really didn't know but now I'm stan their other projects. I really enjoyed the BTS at the end <3
Just with this one micro drama, I was grateful for my prime subscription
