Personally I think she's trying to make herself seem like a bad person because deep down she believes she is and deserves to be the villain. She's doing something good but is acting like a villain cause that's what she believes herself to be... it's her way of "justifying" her actions. Like how she decided last minute to do one final act of good before her life ends.
Not really sure just trying to psychoanalyze her character 😅
Now that a new spirit tree is growing while having roots entangled with the original, I wonder if in the near future NH can split the trees and share his immortality with JX? That'd be a true HE...
Turns out the tree is indeed genetically modified to generate spirit energy and it's linked to a specific person to provide them immortality and powers.
But the actual act of absorbing spirit energy could be linked to mentality. Or in drama language: love.
The more ML feels love and excitement, the more energy he can absorb.
They sort of imply FL may be a reincarnation of an Ancient Person but it's not clear...
Me too. 😔 He deserved a happy ending even though he did what he did.
i must've missed that. But by that point he had already been pushed to the point of mental deterioration... still feel bad for him after seeing the last episode...

Execution could've definitely been better tho.
