I believe they temporarily break up. Not like an official one but like a huge fight type of breakup. They had already broken up and gotten back together in an earlier episode.

Wait that mermaid who has her memories wiped... will she get them back? Does she fall in love with Yun Huan? Because, I thought mermaids can only fall in love once and when they do their gender changes to the opposite of their loved one. In this case I think their tattoo on their forehead vanishes and considering her's is gone, I assume she's already fallen in love before so can she still fall in love?

I feel like it's more likely a dangerous, dark cultivation method with serious drawbacks...

I just hope he's still able to loop back. It'd be more tragic if he doesn't and FL is left alone.

I'd rather him suffer a near death experience from the loop, struggling to help FL stop the bombing than not loop at all.
