What exactly did Tianqi discover that caused him to seemingly betray everyone? Does he manage to get a happy ending?

I managed to push through because I was reading recaps on the side and knowing what to expect lol

Yea that drama constantly raised my hopes up only to crush it every time... Most torturous part was making us watch the romance while constantly reminding us that it's never going to happen in each lifetime...
