It's not Tae Sang anymore, someone needs to change his character name to Ho Jae
This is open to debate. Ho Jae might be Tae Sang who got infected by the Najim parasite (without the serum that makes him look ugly like Seong Sim) and he managed to control the parasite, allowing him to be immortal. :)
I have just completed watching the last episode and the ending is a bit confusing.
(1) Why did Seong-Sim (the creature) attack Tae-Sang after killing all the Japanese assassins? Did she mistake Tae-Sang for the enemy? Chae-ok sacrificed herself to protect Tae-Sang, does it mean that Seong-Sim accidentally killed her own daughter with her tentacle?
(2) One of the last scenes shows Seong-Sim bringing the dead Chae-ok's body under the sea, and there's a Najim parasite swimming from the creature into Chae-ok's mouth. Was that the parasite on Seong-Sim's creature? Did she sacrifice herself for Chae-ok so she can continue to live with the parasite?
(3) Another scene shows Lady Maeda survived the bombing although she seemed to be barely alive with severe burns. Was Kato offering him the drink with the Najim parasite, so Maeda can continue to survive the burn wounds with the parasite?
(4) Another scene shows Tae-Sang in modern Seoul (?) but with the exact same face as before, looks like he's not ageing. And he was called Ho-jae. Did he become infected as well and can live long and immortal like a vampire/Dracula?
I'm quite disappointed that there's not much more screen time when the 3 kids (Seola, Jinho and Eun-byul) grow up at the orphanage. The 22-year time jump is too early imho.
And I am also quite disappointed with the adult versions of Seola and especially Jinho. Why does he impregnate Seola when his situation doesn't allow him to marry her? Hello, have you heard about a thing called birth control? And why can he easily be swung over to Ju-ryun at the exact time when he was supposed to propose to her?
I agree with mari1227's comment below, Jinho showed maturity and decency as a child, why did he become so inferior as an adult? His character reminds me of Jeong Jian's character in A Shop for Killers, she was so brave and was a fighter when she was a child, but very panicky and indecisive as an adult. A downgrade in character development.
I still find the SY character unlikeable. Her decision to still not tell SJ the truth is unbelievable.
She can just arrange for a family meeting for her to tell the truth in front of everyone, including SJ's father and grandmother if needed, and explain everything.
I don't understand what takes her so long to do that.

Many people saw HS brought NY to the hospital when she found out to be pregnant, so the on-duty staff at that time might have witnessed that. Then the information was spread across the hospital.
My tears fell seeing the end of episode 3. Poor little girl, the stepmom and her boyfriend killed her father, and then they wanted to kill her as well, so she had no choice but to flee. Hope the orphanage would treat her well.
Ironically, it was actually the little girl who encouraged her father to re-marry in the first place, since she has been very much longing for a mother figure (the after-school rain scene in episode 2).
The first 3 episodes have been very interesting. Looking forward to the next episodes.

In real life, the FL is older than the ML.
They should check if NY's baby is really HS's, if not, HS should dump her. Really. He's too good for her.
