Hi everyone! Just discovered this gem yesterday and got up to episode 6. Have no idea of background but it looks like THE dark horse by iQiyi so far this year. So far very surprising plot and good acting. Some things I haven’t seen before or imagined happening.
How is it faring with you all? I didn’t want to be spoiled so haven’t read he comments.
By the way for if you want something new, iQIYI came with what probably is a new dark horse: Pledge of Allegiance. Be prepared: no romance and not for the faint hearted. The heavenly emperor from here is there as well, doing his worst! Brilliant story and acting. Maybe see u on that page.

And I heard in one of the interviews that it was the actors idea (CXX) to have the scene like that (eg open eyes). The script was old fashioned dead with closed eyes. Apparently he directed some other things too in the drama .

Interesting readings. I just know one thing: at the age they are at (23 and 27?) it is generally speaking easy to become infatuated in situ. For her, they would need to keep seeing each other often enough, before he becomes a warm memory / acquaintance. So I’m going with the Vietnamese reading this morning :). Just my five cents worth.

Thank you indeed. All the bits and pieces that we missed are complete. I am at rest once more. It was indeed making it more logical that Yetan came the next day to the palace etc etc.
And of course I’ll be coming back to this site regularly to see if new stories came about. Imagine if she of course is expecting a baby. I would like to see Youqin’s face when he hears he becomes a father, and how gently he would manage these sorts of activities then, whilst totally seeing Yetan saying or thinking common, all well! Etc etc.
So much material for sequels. This story keeps giving us endlessly!
