Does anyone know if the actors get paid if the show doesn’t air? I really feel for these hardworking ladies and gentlemen who seemingly are subject of arbitrary third party dynamics.
I found this gem, that is totally not hyped, and I really appreciate the topic. We are learning about quality paper. Whatever other opinions, I appreciate that the makers make the effort to let us see a bit of the ancient Chinese tradition in crafts and manufacturing. Now paper. Recently we had ink. Really cool.
And ZYC is a bonus anywhere. The man can really act.
Ok, I can’t get over this lovable roller coaster I really really really really enjoyed it. ZYC I missed quite a lot, have no idea why are his works shelved. Or are works generally shelved nowadays?
Finally done. I really loved it, but I do have a sweet spot for political period drama.
The kind of low rating makes me feel people expected something else. This is a women leadership centered period drama, quite heavy on politics. The males around her are there as protagonists in the political arena she is navigating. The ML / eventual partner in life is there as her anchor and support at times of need. That’s pretty much it.
For the rest, beautiful cinematography, amazing soundtrack, good acting by all.
This is my view on it, personal opinion :).
My bigger issue is that it’s so hard to find anything really worth watching this summer. What are you all watching? One that you can’t wait for the next episode for.. thanks for any tips!

And my heart is stopping when I think of some bad developments due to the past . It looks like all three came over from the past . I’m so conditioned on happy rom com mode, that I have to discipline myself to watch the bits and pieces about the past . I think they are very relevant for what’s about to come. Fingers crossed for a good ending for our crazy couple .

The single thing bothering me in this further good show, is the OST bit they reused from The Sleepless Princess ( oh I loved that one!).
But for the rest, the first show in months that is watchable. Thank god , finally!
