Finally done. I really loved it, but I do have a sweet spot for political period drama.
The kind of low rating makes me feel people expected something else. This is a women leadership centered period drama, quite heavy on politics. The males around her are there as protagonists in the political arena she is navigating. The ML / eventual partner in life is there as her anchor and support at times of need. That’s pretty much it.
For the rest, beautiful cinematography, amazing soundtrack, good acting by all.
This is my view on it, personal opinion :).
My bigger issue is that it’s so hard to find anything really worth watching this summer. What are you all watching? One that you can’t wait for the next episode for.. thanks for any tips!
ML going to the police station, buying her agency, protecting her, taking care of the dog even with allergy, is…
And my heart is stopping when I think of some bad developments due to the past . It looks like all three came over from the past . I’m so conditioned on happy rom com mode, that I have to discipline myself to watch the bits and pieces about the past . I think they are very relevant for what’s about to come. Fingers crossed for a good ending for our crazy couple .
Ok I was out for work the whole week and haven’t seen the series nor comments here. Starting again to watch as of episode 14. I’m surprised it is still Low rating here and even more surprised about the Douban rating. So far I always had respect for that one, but after this I won’t care anymore and - as many of you here - just watch and make up my own mind and rate (or not) the drama for its own value (yes, personal opinion and valuation). To me it is still very good and should be a platform for furthering the career of many of these young hard working actors (male or female). Anyway, see u later!
Yes, Rebirth has lot of interesting characters not like the new dramas that focuses of leads and second leads.…

Watching it the fourth or fifth time. Lovely popcorn, seven years of age and in many ways younger than many current dramas. ☺️🥰
