I didn't feel like it. Maybe they were inspired by SR and tried being bold as well. Can we call it copying ? Idk. If SR started it all then it's the standard now and upcoming ones will obviously take notes from it's success for improvement. We can call it a trend not copying.

I also love Cherry Magic but you do realize that not every drama can be like Cherry Magic. Right ?? Every story has it's uniqueness. Do not compare them.

Btw i did agree with you about no feelings being involved in this one lol or maybe they couldn't represent the love between them properly. Especially Chaeha actor guy, he didn't even try bro. The difference between his and Kim Yoon-sik's acting skills is insane. Kim Yoon-sik did everything on his part and the Chaeha actor did nothing. That is probably why we felt like this. 😭

Moreover, I can tell you some masterpieces of BL industry - Bad Buddy, Cherry Magic, Old fashioned cupcake, Sammy's Children's day, The On1y one and Semantic error.

It really does not resemble SR. Not even a little bit. Both are different stories, different vibes, no copy, no repetition. It would be better if you let us know what it copied from SR to support your claims !! (No pressure)

Though I agree with some of your opinions like AI usage (honestly i was shocked when I saw AI being used, i knew nobody would let this go lol) and lost emotional intimacy. They tried to be bold and went straight to the point that was my first take from the drama. No time pass, no story dragging. As some people said, It's really good considering it's short runtime. It's not surpassing SR in suspense and storytelling but I think it's still better than most of the KBLs out there for trying a new concept, crime and investigation, that has probably never been used in the industry before (i hope I'm correct). I really liked it.

I remember members of Seventeen cringing and teasing Jun when they saw the trailer lol. I still haven't made my mind, I really want to see Jun's acting but at the same time I'm not into such type of stories.

I was so confused when he got a call to visit the office at such an odd time, to interrogate a newly appeared informant for an old closed case. Were they not working on those old cases secretly and didn't even want Song Hanuel to know about it ? So It was not even out and about that they have re-opened the Park Granny case so how can an informant appear out of nowhere ?? Is Lee Chaeha too inexperienced to look over these facts or am I missing something ?!

Why Lee Chaeha keeps throwing himself in front of knives broo ? Who can say he was a former cop ? Just push your boyfie and stall time in front of an emotionally weak criminal until you get help bro !! Doesn't know where danger persists. Keeps falling in traps. Doesn't know when to inform Ju Taeseon. Is he naive or just foolish ?

Also Rushed ending !! Why did they make us feel like Yoon Gyuho was upto something ? They made him look suspicious for no reason.

Two reasons as to why I'll give it 8.5/10 -

1 - Kim Yoon-sik (yk why !!) (actually him alone makes me want to give it a 10/10 but sadly we need to rate the story and not just the actor)
2 - Having good balance of romance and the main story. This isn't dragging which i like but it could've been more detailed.

The Twin sister was working on some parts of this case too and was probably murdered so that she won't uncover the truth. Taeson always wanted to get revenge on behalf of her and he knew that her death has something to do with the case and it was not a mere suic!de.

I saw his profile. Role so insignificant that I can't even recall him being in 25-21. I hope he gets new offers soon, he's really excellent. Top Notch actor + Hot af.

Yes I have. It's decent and realistic but it did not have an exciting story/ drama for me to remember. I watch dramas to escape reality, so I barely like realistic dramas.

That's the life of an actor lol. She's married but she still needs to her job. We can't do anything about it and that doesn't bother me either. But the way she kills people does. That's so unsatisfactory and kinda unfair to victim's families.

I really do not remember many KBLs leaving a long lasting impression on me. Alongside Secret Relationships and Semantic error, this is simply coming out as the best KBL I've watched so far. Mind you I'm only 4 eps. into this. Loving this.
