10 first and 10 last eps very good
The quality of this drama was very uneven. The first ten and last ten episodes were excellent. The ones in between—not so much; I felt disappointed by many of those episodes. Admittedly, there were some great scenes here and there, but otherwise, it dragged a bit. This was my first C-drama featuring Ding Yuxi, and I have to say he is actually a good actor; he was spot-on as the salt smuggler. All the actors did a great job, and the cinematography was good. So, all in all, I’m giving it an 8/10.
