This is by no far something a person of weak heart can watch. It is by no means graphical like many other movies but yet very disturbing. It shows the sad life of Korean comfort women.
As a fellow woman this story resonates within you. Your heart goes out to the countless women who were tortured. The brutality they faced cannot be just driven away by a simple forgiveness. For me I did not feel anger to the Japanese but pity, pity that they had their lives like that. Pity as to what went through their heads to become such inhuman beings. While reading of the Nanking Massacre this turned even worse for me. It made me think what kind of retribution they would have had after this life( Being a a Buddhist karma is something I believe in but this is entirely my own thoughts). The story had a single glimmer of hope within the story in the portrayal of Danaka and I was sad how he ended too. Being a romantic I couldn't help but wish he had reunited with his family or Jungmin.
Like I said this isn't for the weak heart, I was utterly sad by the end and had a very hard time coming back from this film.

I really don't get why people are complaining this sequel saying it didn't live up to its name. Yes the prequel was hell of a ride but this was too. The only complaint I had was i wished they stuck to one story rather than many. Maybe connecting them in a bit better way would have helped. One thing that was similar in both the dramas was the amazing and strong cast. Both dramas had seasoned actors giving their best and doing hell of an awesome job at it. I honestly did not see where people were coming form saying this was bad. For me this was just as good as the previous.

Also another thing, do not go into this expecting a happy ending. My heart was racing the entire time scared as to who would die next. More than half the team died and I didn't even know what to feel at the end. You didn't know who the hell was the good guy and who was the bad guy till the end. Up till the ending sequence I was not sure who was good and who was bad which in my opinion was one of the best aspects of the drama. As per the last one and as per all of the writer's works this drama too heavily relied on comradeship which is what makes me totally addicted to this writer's work. If you go see his resume you can literally see how many awesome dramas the scriptwriter has done.

Well I wouldn't mind another season with the same cast, maybe make it a twist and add the old cast too yet still I'm kinda excited for the movie which would have taken place between these two seasons.

Another plus point, make sure you watch after the ending sequence in the last episode. You will be in for a treat ;)

Well what can I say? I went into this expecting a super great movie. I was clueless as what the hell I was gonna watch cuz I didn't even watch a trailer beforehand so I went into this knowing nothing about it except having heard it was amazing. Buuuuuuuuuut I got to say i was left kinda unsatisfied. In terms of the CGI and the action scenes I was blown away. Korea has improved alot in that area. I mostly liked seeing those than the story itself. Yes the CGI was done brilliantly and the acting was good too but i was left stranded. There wasn't that much plot in it except that the main character went through so many trials with his ridiculously good looking defense team. Actually I went in for Cha Tae Hyun but came out loving Ju Ji Hoon. Like someone else mentioned previously, Ju Ji Hoon was the gems here. Having seen Ju Ji Hoon in very serious roles, I was pretty surprised by him here. He managed to keep the funny scenes hilarious. I loved his expressions here. Even his crying scenes had me giggling (sorry if it sounds rude here)
One scene that resounded with me was the simple scene where the grandfather sees the Grim Reaper and says to himself that he might be closing near death. When the grandkid cried there something tugged at my heartstrings. How a life can be so precious. It might seems silly but that scene was the start where I started getting emotional with the whole story.
One plus side of this story is we see sooooooo many amazing cameos. Each trial brings out so many old faces we just love seeing on screen, that was a reason that made me keep watching till the end. To see who else is gonna pop in my screen. I won't say it was a bad film, no doubt it was a really really good film but I won't say brilliant. Watching this few minutes after Tori Girl, I felt even though Tori Girl was much less mature than this, it was done more brilliantly than Along with the Gods. But that won't stop me from watching the sequel of this.
Also if you are in doubt, just watch it for the sake of Ju Ji Hoon. The fellow is amazingly hilarious in this. You won't regret it. I only gave these ratings just for his expressions.

So it took me a little time to actually finish this (I actually binged it on a day I took off work as I was sick XD) but in a way I'm glad I binged it. If not I would have gone bold from the frustration of waiting for the next episode. This is one of those dramas that actually stay up for their hype. I actually watched the first few 4 eps and waited so in a way I did know it was gonna be awesome but damn the writers have done an excellent job in creating one hell of a unique story. Everyone was flawed, everyone had their secrets. Some not realistic but it gives a peak in to the rich and powerful people in Korea and how they actually use that power to get what they want. It also shows family dynamic. Not the cheesy "oh we're such a happy family" but real family problems.

One thing I can't seem to agree is that I just can't like Kim Hye Na. She was without doubt my least favorite character yes she was standing up for the unfairness of everything but she just as the parents did, used everyone around her. While all the kids had some innocence in them KHN did not. Yes she was forced to mature earlier than everyone due to her mother's death but still I could not fathom how she went about with her revenge. In any way I do not think she deserved to die but still I didn't like her character. In my books my favorite was Ki Joon's and Suh Joon's mother. She didn't have supportive husband still she managed to get up and go against all odds. Even Woo Joo's mother at least had support from her son and husband but she made it on her own. Yes she needed a slight push by WJ's mom but still I applaud her for her strength. Specially loved the scene where she got er kids to carry their father out and throw him out of the house. Kudos for the twins too XD

Anyway I'm not so sure of the re-watch value due to the fact that the mystery element is clearly gone after watching it once but nevertheless I would really recommend this to anyone. One of the drama after Goblin for me that actually kept up to the praise it received ( I was not a fan of Reply 1988. Thought it was waaaaay overrated) With that I will finish my short review :)

This was surprisingly dark. Not that the trailer showed otherwise. But i's a bit dark. The whole concept of homosexuality in Asian countries aren't accepted yet and some of our parents don't want to even speak about it as a matter of fact. I know for a fact mine don't. So the whole concept of this where homosexuals are made fun of the society is not new to me.

I came here after watching Long Time No See so the whole concept of this pretty dark for me. All in all the actors did a pretty good job here. Especially Kwank shi Yong. He deserves his own drama by now.

Well this was kinda disappointing overall. First time I saw the trailer and funky poster I was honestly very happy and excited to watch this and basically counted down the days to this. SO finally it started getting officially subbed I was ecstatic. Alas it , short lived. The dubbing was horrible, the story line dragged waaaaay too long, the side characters were super annoying and mostly the main FL was just plain frustrating to watch. The last two episodes kinda stopped me from giving this a terrible rating. Other than that I was terribly disappointed in this drama. Too bad cuz Zhand Ruo Yon's acting here was awesome. He was one of the main reasons this drama was also saved.
