In the 3rd episode, when QL is meditating in the forest on the river, he has a dream in which CY walked "very far away". Afterwards, he says it felt as though he had lived through an entire century, and that both at the beginning and the end of that century, CY was there. And then, to see that unwavering devotion in QL`s waiting for CY in the final episode, those five long years stretching out like a century, only for CY to indeed be there at the end of it. Literal chills.
I am currently rewatching it for the umpteenth time, and Zelia’s absolute genius in dropping those foreshadowing hints in the earlier episodes, things we had no way of knowing would carry such weight, is just pure brilliance. (ep 3 & Ep 16 spoilers below!)
small theater is an additional footage, a supplement to the main series. It is in a form of delicious mini episodes,…
Personally, I think it is a matter of personal preference. I watched it all after, but if you look into Recent Discussions section, user/Burgundy has created a post on how to watch it in chronological order if you want to watch it alongside the main series. Happy watching!
Finally saw the finale. I understand the comments a lot better. It is confusing and too much dream and real for…
It wasn't the dead who spoke to them at the wedding, those were messages from their loved ones: CY's sister, QL's grandma, sister Liang, brother Guo, and others. Everyone is alive and well!
The cimatology is beautiful. The acting is beautiful. The chemistry is beautiful. But I think the story lacks enough…
Not all love stories start with fireworks and big gestures. Some love comes softly and quietly. This is a very beautiful story of two people falling in love and trying to exist against the odds and circumstances. The plot is just that, showing how two people in love try to exist in a world that is not always in their favor, and finding ways to be happy in quiet places. I suppose not everyone will relate to that, and that's absolutely okay.
This whole comment section is my lifeline and support system (I am grateful for each and every one of you!). I have been watching the show on repeat, and no matter how many times I watch it, I discover something new every time. This drama has awakened so many beautiful emotions in me and reminded me what it feels like to be in love again. Pure poetry and food for the soul. I know it hasn't ended yet, but I miss it already.
I've just devoured yet another one of your reviews, and honestly? You're my soul snack. You deserve to be treasured, worshiped, and possibly bronzed for future generations. I'm convinced we're cosmic twins in one of my many delulu (delusional, but make it cute) alternate realities. I want to clone you, shrink you down, and carry you around like the devil—or angel, depending on your mood—on my shoulder, whispering sweet, savage nothings into my ear. Never change. Stay gloriously, unapologetically awesome!
I just want to give a thunderous, glitter-filled THANK YOU to the almighty internet gods for guiding me—nay,…
Glitter cult gig aside, if you ever pack your bags, wave sanity goodbye, and embark on the noble quest of writing a book, I shall proudly be your beta reader—armed with caffeine, unsolicited opinions, and the emotional stability of a raccoon in a dumpster fire.
If you wanna watch this show DON'T FUCKING BOTHER. This shit had me seething with anger the whole motherfucking…
I just want to give a thunderous, glitter-filled THANK YOU to the almighty internet gods for guiding me—nay, blessing me—with this sacred scroll of poetic glory (yes, every syllable is dripping with lyrical genius, and I will ascend on this hill, not die). Girl Queen, you are not just my spirit animal—you are my cosmic twin, my soul confetti. Let’s be besties, start a glitter cult, and take over the world one fabulous verse at a time!
I wonder if I am watching different show than everyone else as I am loving it! I am on episode 6 but so far it is very funny and the plot is interesting enough for me to keep guessing what will happen next. it's definitely not perfect, but I love both storylines and how unserious those two killers for hire are presented 😁
Edit: 10/10! I love how seriously unserious this series was. I loved every bit of it including the "out there" ending. it was entertaining and absolutely hilarious. it is for sure a comedy, an action rom-com if you like. For me the DunkJoong duo cannot do any wrong, so there is also that 😎
