This was far better than I expected. I turned this on at 3am try to bore myself to sleep and was hooked before I knew it. I ended up binge watching and finished it over a holiday weekend. I docked some points only because I wasn’t a huge fan of the way the main murder case was wrapped up and I wasn’t a fan of the prosecutor. Every actor in this seems to be giving it 110% and the prosecutor just had no gravitas, no screen presence, at all. I never believed he was a threat to the leads and that was a problem for me. Otherwise this was pretty freaking great.
I don’t understand how this is rated 7.6 overall. This was a Modern Day Cinderella retelling that was simply sweet, actually funny without endless cringe-worthy moments, and perfectly paced with only 10 episodes.
I don’t want even mention how many episodes had me in literal tears, this is a perfect palette cleanser of a show when you just need a show that makes you smile. And hats off to the cast, I liked every single character - yes, even “the villain”.
Great show. I can't help but wonder (I am not one who follows production details etc. of shows so I don't know)…
I was literally searching for an answer to this question! Because the relationship between the leads, the second FL is the Korean reincarnation of Melanie Hamilton Wilkes and the War and its place driving the plot.
