If you see properly no one is fighting for the throne here. They are all only fighting for the FL lol. So wanting a heir is not his concern at all.

To be frank there are so many good actors in this drama. They could have given depth to each character and given more screentime to side characters. They just pick a character and get done with them quickly. But can't judge them properly because hua Yong's character dominates everyone. His character is so nicely written and executed. He might be the only one keeping us going. Can't even hate the drama because whenever he is on the screen nothing seems boring even other characters look good. I am really impressed by his guard's acting tho 13 year kid what a acting surely going to be popular in future

This is what I understood-- prince qian is legitimate son of empress dowager. The current king is her adopted son. So basically they are siblings. Since Prince qian died the adopted son became the king. Crown prince is king's son so far but u never know they might change it later as u have seen already in previous dramas 😂😂 my thought is they are making us think that the king is kind but later reveal that crown prince is not his biological son so he poisoned him OR the directors want us to think like that and give a twist that the king is actually good and mastermind is someone else. The only thing I am finding hard rn is guessing who the main poisoning villian is. Usually it will be one of the close ones but here i hardly have doubt on anyone all seem fine

I think the same... Because he has feelings but definitely not her. He shouldn't force her. And in future if she has then it's because he forced his way in.

Don't hate me for saying this...As much as I want the Crown Prince to be cured of the poison, I equally want Shen Xihe to suffer a lot from his absence. I know she doesn't like him but the way Hua Yong loves her is so pure respectful and heart warming. He never forces her and doesn't show his jealousy when she spends time with other princes. He knows it's unrequited and she can't help him either. Whenever I see him i feel so bad that i wish he lives long. I love Meng ziyi it's just that I want her character to feel really sad which will be possible only with his death. It's not her mistake that he likes her but his love is so pure mannn I can't see him heart broken. Though deep down I wanted a sad ending drama but definitely not this one because Hua Yong my boy I feel bad for you...the way he speaks knowing very well she doesn't reciprocate the feelingss😭😭🫂

I don't think meng ziyi should be critized on her facial expressions... It's just that her character is supposed to have a cold gaze. If u watch Blossoms u will know because there she expressed all her emotions nicely.
