Entertaining!

This one for me was pretty decent. The first game was pretty good and the other ones where each one had to choose between hold the ball, run with the ball, climb and etc, were also good. The concept was interesting too. Also I liked that different types of people tried to participe. Some of the games were not 100% focus on brutal strength too, which gave a chance to those who were more like skinny or people which probably couldn't hold something too heavy. But I think that the team missions was kind of unfair, especially because the strongest guys didn't want to be in the team who had a lot of girls and that made both teams who had most girls or skinny people be eliminated. I had the feeling that they were eliminated by force. I think it would be better and more fair if it was a lucky draw. In the end that mission was done to eliminate "the weakest" in the eyes of the participants, not giving them the slightest chance.

The last game was kind of boring to me and I thought they could have done something better. But yeah, in general, I think it was an interesting concept and entertaining show. We got to know a lot of charming and nice people. The winner was also really unexpected which gave me the feeling like: "well ok" because I didn't cared for him the much, but at least was unexpected. My favorite participants were: Agent H (he was eliminated too soon), Jang Eun Sil (my queen I'm still bitter by her elimination), Kim Min Cheol (I loved his reasons to participate) and another one which I forgot now but he was on Sungbin's team.

PS: I thought Sungbin or Jo Jin hyeong would win lol but actually seeing Sungbin's massive popularity right now I think he was the one who really won.

Now this is how you do an interesting and good dating show!

Love Catcher has one of the most interesting concept I’ve watched in dating shows, that’s why i’m a big fan since Season 2. This whole idea of choosing between love or money is really good and make us feel suspicious about every one until the end. Throughout the entire show, you will be gripped. Also, altough the concept is the same in every season, Love Catcher in Bali made a lot of changes, which is good because it shows how the production team it’s thinking about surprising the viewers even more, and also makes the show more dynamic compared to other seasons.

Most of the participants is likeable and it’s easy to shipp them, especially because the show it’s always creating environment for this. I also like how the show tries to form different couples sometimes because this made everything more dynamic and we’re able to see differents pair of couples, even if we don’t shipp them. The scenario was also beautiful and they had a lot of great dates. The hosts were kind of annoying sometimes but in general they were funny. I liked them.

In conclusion, for me this is one of the best dating shows in Korea and I wish more people could watch. It’s a great mix of romance and mystery. If you never watched please give a chance!

PS: I can affirm that this season and Season 2 are my favorite ones.

The drama in general is good but main leads totally carried this part 2

Alchemy of Souls is definitely one of the best dramas this year but I have to point out that this part 2 couldn't live the expectations to me. It's not bad but the main leads totally carried with their good acting and chemistry. Of course, the cinematography continued to be amazing and the effects as well. We can't say bad things about the acting too, at least for me it was good. The chemistry between all actors (especially the main leads) continued to be good too. So what exactly didn't go that well?

Ok, first, main leads were the big event to me and they completely stole the show. I was afraid of Jaewook not having a good chemistry with the new actress but gosh he had. Second, I felt like most of the negative points is in the way that the writers decided to develop the story. I felt that 10 episodes were too short for the things the writer wanted to do and everything felt a little too fast. The writer wanted to build up again the relationship between the characters and Naksu (now being in her own body) and I understand that but I felt that doing that all over again made the drama repetitive and also made me feel like everything between main leads were happening way too fast. On the one hand I liked it because I'm not a big fan of slowburns, and thanks to that I felt that this season had more romantic moments between the main leads. But on the other hand, thinking about the story itself, I felt that it was a little rushed. Also I felt that the secondary characters lost a bit of charisma they had in the first season and a lot of scenes felt draggy. And the biggest disappointment to me: not being able to see that badass Naksu from season 1. I understand that things are different now and she was practically a "villain" in the first episodes because she was being controlled. But I felt that we all liked Naksu because besides liking her personality as Mudeok, she was a badass before. I think I can say for everybody that we were all expecting to see the badass Naksu again and unfortunately we didn't. And what disappointed me the most is that I felt that this part 2 were totally focused on Jang Uk being the badass character (don't get me wrong I loved it, especially because we can see his grow), and seemed that Naksu were summed up only as Jang Uk's love interest.

So yeah to me it seems that the Hong sisters did not know how to develop the 2nd part as well as the first one, which caused a feeling of disappointment in many people, including me. Luckily, the cast, the plot in general and other things still made the drama overall memorable for me, despite the flaws in this part 2.

Way better than S1 but still not the best

Singles Inferno has an interesting theme as it takes place on an island, but to me the show has some negative points (actually the same as the S1). First, I don’t think the show is much dynamic or creative and the production team also does not make an effort to bring dynamism, as they basically brought the same games from the 1st season. Normally these dating shows have traces of superficiality but in Singles Inferno they are even bigger. The participants' conversations don't seem to go anywhere sometimes and their dates are most boring or monotonous. And as I said before, because it takes place on an island, they end up not having many places to go and that makes the program also monotonous because they are always in similar or in the same places.

What could make the program more interesting are the participants. And yes, I liked them more here than season 2. However, I still think that the dynamic between them is awkward sometimes and one thing that bothers me a lot in korean dating shows is how they do not try to interact romantically with others. The show also doesn't create ways to help to form other couples, they simply leave all the decisions to the participants and this ends up making the show monotonous. But I do think the friendship they form and some scenes of some couples are nice and make us really shipp them together. It’s a good show to watch to pass the time you know and it’s easy to shipp someone here.

Talking more about the participants, in this season my favorite contestants were Jongwoo, Hanbin, Nadine and So-e but I liked them all in general. It’s sad that Hanbin and Nadine ended up being alone tho :( and Sejeong didn’t even had a chance. but I liked the final couples. Sejun with Soe was really cute, altought I don’t see a romantic chemistry. Seulki and Jongwoo might work well together because they match. And Yoongjae and Seoeun looked like a couple already.

In my vision Jinyoung chose Seulki in the end only because she’s more close to his ideal type. He said he felt a connection with her and I was like WHAT because they were totally different and even their conversations seemed off. I do think they had chemistry together but I don’t see like a connection or like they matched with each other. To me he had more like a connection with Nadine but she clearly wasn’t his type and I think the fact she lives abroad and study medicine also made him feel a little awkward around her.

I also felt that Seulki was more attracted to Jinyoung and he’s more like her ideal type. In the end she even said “I usually always chose the guys I like”, meaning that she probably would have chosen Jinyoung BUT Jongwoo’s sincerity came across to her and she prefered to choose someone who seemed more genuine to her and someone who she was more comfortable with. Also the last conversation she had with Jinyoung clearly made her feel a little awkward. I’m glad she chose Jongwoo in the end.

In the campfire, I also didn’t like Jinyoung’s question about which date Seulki liked more, with him or Jongwoo. I thought it was a completely unnecessary question that could make him or Jongwoo, and also Seulki, really uncomfortable. Actually the whole questionary time with Seulki was really uncomfortable but I felt that Jinyoung’s question was the worst of all.

Anyway, in general, I believe that if you like dating shows, this one it’s going to captivate you but to me there’s others dating shows in Korea that are more interesting than this one. I liked the participants here tho more than S1, they felt more close to me.

Charming but the inconsistent plot and pacing made the drama less wonderful

Silent had a great opportunity to make an amazing drama about Sou's hearing impairment, they could have focused on that and shown Sou's development about his disability, also developing the main couple. I know the drama made an effort to show the prejudices that the hearing impaired people suffer in society in some episodes but I feel like the drama wasted too much time on less important things in the beginning and then tried to rush everything later.

Seriously, what the relationship between Tsumogi and Minato was about? For me it didn't add much to this drama, only took precious time to develop and show most important things. The development of Tsumogi's relationship with Sou was completely affected by this and was poorly done and rushed later. Also this whole thing made the relationship of the three of them so awkward to watch. Tsumogi broke up with Minato but was already going out with Sou in two episodes later because the drama had to develop the main couple relationship. But for a character who said who was in love with Minato, it was so rushed. I felt awkward watching some scenes of Tsumogi and Sou because the pacing was just off and it felt too rushed (altought the actors chemistry makes me find them cute together). Also I think that the writer made things too subjective and it was difficult to understand the characters feelings, especially Tsumogi's and Sou. I could see her connection with Sou but I couldn't see her love for any of the characters in the beginning, especially for Minato, even the character saying she loved him.

Not to mention that besides liking the characters, they do bothered me sometimes. They take completely selfish attitudes and seem not to care about the feelings of others besides themselves. In their heads they think they are taking good choices but in the end, the decisions they make are nothing but selfish decisions. Minato breaks up with Tsumogi without caring about what she thinks and even says that Sou could get back with her, without considering Sou's opinions of this. Sou already being with Tsumogi, decides to want to get away from her because it would be too difficult for both of them. Tsumogi was also a character that annoyed me (even more than the others) because sometimes she just said thinks without thinking and I was like GIRL? how can you say this to Sou?

One more thing that bothered me about the drama is the importance given to the voice by the script. I understand the connection that Tsumogi and Sou have with music, and both characters got closer because of that. But I feel that the script gave too much importance for this and made it seem as if the characters didn't have anything more important in themselves. Tsumogi became obsessed with wanting to hear Sou's voice, the same thing happened to Sou. It's normal to want to hear the voice of the one you love, especially since in the past relationship of both they listened to music together, made calls and etc, but I felt that the script dragged this theme too much until the end and made me think that the characters only liked each other because of these details. As if their personality itself wasn't even important.

But besides this all, the drama do have their positive things. The chemistry between the characters are good, we had some good episodes with beautiful scenes and touching writing (especially the ones with Nana and Sou), the OST also is very good (probably one of my fav of this year), and the acting of the actors were very convincing. I talked about the characters annoying me but they aren't essential bad characters. I loved Sou. Tsumogi annoyed me but I felt that in the end she changed a little bit. Minato and Nana were both characters I really liked in the end too, they were so charming and cute for me. I also liked Sou's sister and Tsumogi's brother.

Silent isn't a bad drama. The characters are charming, they have good chemistry and the acting is amazing but unfortunately, I feel like the writer took too many bad choices in the drama that made the plot inconsistent and made the drama have a bad pacing. It's impossible to hide the fact that the scriptwriter did not seem to know how to develop the theme and got lost halfway through. I don't think it's an awful drama at all but it was disappointing in many things and had so much more potential. In the end seemed like the writer did not understand her own work.

PS: Also, what the scriptwriter said about not wanting the drama to be marketed internationally was so wrong. I understand her in parts but you're writing a drama about overcoming the boundaries with communication and yet gatekeeping people who doesn't speak the language and not wanting to other people besides Japanese to watch it? What a terrible impact to give to the drama.

Live or die, what would you choose? What is the meaning of life for you?

I must say, I'm a fan of Alice in Borderland since season 1 because besides liking survivor games, the concept of this drama is so interesting and well thought. I really liked the concept of the playing cards and the characters being inspired by Alice in Wonderland. And it gets even cooler when we finally find out about the whole truth in the last episode, everything just matched and it didn't seemed forced.

Basically, the characters we see in the game were involved in an accident caused by a meteor. Because of that accident they were stuck between life and death and they went to borderland. Only those who survived in the game and chose to return to real life, returned to the physical world. The ones who chose to stay, would remain in the borderland and become a game master until they lose to somebody. I actually think that explanation made sense, especially if we think that the characters have been wondering about the value of life since the beginning and whether they wanted to stay in that world or go back to the real world. Also, the writer clearly made a comparative between "wonderland" and "borderland", both being not a real world.

Now let's talk more about the games and the characters in this season. My favorites games definitely were the ones involving Chishiya. I swear it's not because he's my favorite character but I think they were the most interesting games, with the most interesting ideas. But I liked the game with Arisu, Usagi and the little boy too. It was a fun game. I expected a little more about the first games involving Yamapi. I was so excited for his character and don't get me wrong, I like it, it's just that I wished something a little more. Chishiya was my favorite character like I said but the girls literally dominated this season tho, I just loved all of them. They were so brave, charismatic, strong <3 totally badass. Arisu and Usagi chemistry were good as well and it's impossible to not like them too. One of the things I liked in this drama its that we see a little of everyone's life so we can understand the characters better. This make them seem more human, even if we don't like them or their action in the game. (not Niragi tho, its impossible to like him even with his past scenes)

They spend too much time on the big revelation in EP8 but I still appreciated because it seemed like the writer really knew what us, the viewers, hoped it was the final revelation. Would it be a virtual game like Sword Art Online? Would it be really like a survival game with humans betting on them and seeing who would win? Would it all be Arisu's imagination? There were so many possibilities to explain what was going on and it seems that the writer knew that we would think of several different things, so he took advantage of this in the end and played with us. Seriously, I literally believed everything the queen said, every time, because it all sounded reasonable.

But I got to say, IT PISSED ME OFF how Niragi survived in the end, he was a complete trash, I think it was one of the things I disliked the most in the end. Also, I wished we could see all characters reuniting, not only Arisu and Usagi :( But yeah, in general, it was a pretty fun, creative and interesting drama with a lot of interesting and amazing characters as well. I don't know if they will produce a season 3 (the "joker" card made me think they would), but I hope not. I think this season ended well and I'm afraid with a season 3, everything would be too forced.

Enjoyable drama but the plot is kind obvious

Revenge of Others had me excited most of the episodes especially at the beginning and we do have some interesting characters. We also have pretty violent scenes here but it was a positive thing for me as this is a revenge drama. The ones who got mostly got tortured here really deserved it. The main OST is pretty addicting too.

Talking about the characters, Ji Soo Heon, our "hero", is a really charming character and it's impossible to not like him, for me he was one of the good things that the drama has to offer. I really enjoyed Solomon's acting in this drama! Jae Beom was also an interesting one. The actor nailed his scenes and he really shined in the last episodes, more than the main leads. I joked to my friends that I started liking Soo Heon but ended liking Jae Beom more lol Chan Mi is character we do root for, first because we want to know what happened to her brother, second because she has a lot of scenes being bullied in the school. But her character lacked something for me. I wasn't able to love her and I love the actress, but for some reason I didn't enjoyed her character that much here. The writer also made her too stupid sometimes. Her scenes with Soo Heon were pretty cute tho. O Sung and Ji Hyun were pretty hateful characters but O Sung was an interesting character. The actor nailed for me, really convincing. So Yeon has an exotic appearance so she was really interesting to me and of course we do root for her because we know what she went through. Also the idea of "revenge" was kind of hers. But I think the character could have been something more.

I think the drama started really well and I was really addicted. Of course we had some dumb scenes and decisions made by the characters (especially Chan Mi) but still was good for me. But I got to say, although Jae Beam's DID was already hinted by the drama, the way that the writer developed this in the last episode was kind cringe and messed up to me. And if we really think about the plot, it was kind obvious. The writer tried to mess up with our minds in the half of the drama but if you think closely the murder was obvious since the beginning. We also ended up not knowing what would happen to Soo Heon and I think it was an important thing since the drama mentioned his illness repeatedly. I had the feeling that for some reason the ending felt finished but open at the same time. I think the only thing that really surprised me in the drama was the LGBT theme. I was really not expecting.

So yeah in general I think it's an enjoyable and fun drama and I do recommend if you like high school dramas with revenge and mystery plot. But do not expected something really cleaver.

Too good for you to ignore!

First, if you like slice of life and family dramas, this one will definitely please you. Its also very funny in the beginning, Second that I have never seen a historical drama where the female characters unite as much as it does here. The sisterhood is amazing. It's impossible not to get attached to these characters and the sisterhood they share. They fight for their rights and always helps each other. and although the romance is not the main focus, the couples scenes are extremely cute and we easily become attached to the them. The two main leads are wonderful too. Li Wei the very first feminist in the world, I loved her! She can be annoying for some people but for me her actions were really plausible and I liked how she cared more for herself in the beginning. Later, she begins to grow up and deal better with things and wow, she become even more wonderful. Our Prince Yin Zheng is really a prince. Always treated Li Wei as she deserved and he was just so sweet with her and with all characters. I also loved him.

The secondary characters are amazing too, especially Yuan Ying who was one of my favorites. Speaking of her, she could become an obstacle for the main couple and be a boring character as usual in romantic comedies, but here the character is given a importance and she does not disturb the couple, on the contrary, she helps them and creates a very beautiful friendship with Li Wei. Most of the characters here have a very satisfying ending too and the ending was perfect. So yeah, this drama was a very good surprise for me and Im happy I gave a shot and watched until the end.

If you're looking for a romance drama, this one might not suit you so much and I think that's the only negative thing I would say about this drama because I started looking for something more romantic and I do wish we had more romantic scenes especially between main couple. but still, I love a good slice of life and family drama and this one was AMAZING. Please give it a chance like I did because this drama has too many good points to ignore. I will miss them :(

A love that I hope to have one day...

First Love is a really beautiful drama. The cinematography is perfect, the transitions of the scenes from the past to the present are very clever (although I wish they would put the year because at times it can be confusing). and most importantly: the actors' chemistry is phenomenal. I'm a fan of Satoh Takeru so I knew he would please me easily but Kido Taisei stole the series for me on several occasions. Of course, Takeru is still Takeru, an excellent actor and his chemistry with Hikari was perfect (I also love Hikari, she was amazing as always here), but we really need to praise the younger actors here. Mainly because most of the romantic scenes came from them and if they didn't convince us, it would be difficult to buy the couple further on and the overwhelming love they have for each other, something that not even years apart could destroy. They may have fallen in love with other people but as Harumichi says, it was fate for them to be together. And a love like this is really rare, that's why it's so beautiful to see. So yeah, besides Takeru and Hikari`s amazing chemistry and acting, kudos to Kido Taisei and Yagi Rakiko.

I have nothing to complain about the personality of the main leads as well. it's very easy to love both, in the past and present time, because besides being cute and fun, I felt that they were characters very close to reality. It's easy to root for their happiness. The OST was very well selected too but of course we have to highlight First Love and Hatsukoi, which are very beautiful and emotional songs, even if you have never heard these songs before. The power of both songs is so high that no matter how many times it is played in the serie, it manages to thrill us every time.

In addition to the main couple, the secondary characters were very interesting. Yae's relationship with her mother was a beautiful thing, and later her relationship with her son too. Another thing I liked was his involvement with that female dancer. I found their scenes very beautiful and inspiring.

My only "negative comment" for the drama is that I wanted more scenes of the main leads together in the present time. They basically only stay together in the last few minutes, which makes us wanting more, because the drama has shown us several times how cute they were together in adolescence.

Anyway, in general it was a very captivating and beautiful drama to watch. I believe that even those who don't like Jdramas will be enchanted here. and I hope that with that, more people will be interested in Jdramas because there are several amazing ones and I feel that few are acclaimed.

PS: I'm looking forward to seeing Kido Taisei in future works, I completely fell in love with the actor here.

A good drama with an excellent start but a disappointment in the last episodes.

Big Mouth is a good drama but I got to say that the last episodes were a disappointment for me. I feel like they made BM so relevant and important to the story but when we found out who BM really was, it wasn’t that exciting anymore. 12 episodes to reveal him just to kill him in the next episode? What? I know Changho was already prentending to be BM but the whole climax was to find out who was the real BM. And when we finally found out, they just killed him. They should’ve made Changho be the real BM since the beginning then. Jerry was a character that it could have been more useful to the story too. They saved him for what? lol I thought he would have a more meaningful part in the drama. They created all this suspense about him for nothing. And it’s funny if we think about that because the writer decided to save him but kill Miho, who was doing much more relevant things in the drama.

Miho’s leukemia and death was so unecessary. I really don’t care if a character dies in the end but her death seemed so forced and with 0 purpose to the main lead story. She died for Changho become BM? But he could have become BM without her dying…she really didn’t need to die. Also I loved her character in the beginning but it seems like the writer really wanted to kill her because she became a dumb character out of nowhere. But I have to point out that the effort of the actors really pays off. Jongsuk is phenomenal in this drama, he was the best thing for me here. Really natural and good actor. Handsomeee as well. The other actors were good too. The whole mystery about who BM is it’s really thrilling and make us addicted to each episode. It was fun to make theories. The writer was smart with this Big Mouth/Big Mouse idea. The pronunciation is similar so it was a smart move. I absolutely loved the OST too, fits the drama and the scenes really well.

I think in general it’s a fun drama to watch. But it could have been better if the writer didn’t lose himself in the middle. If you liked Defendant or Flower of Evil I think you have chances to like Big Mouth as well, although Defendant and FOE are much more superior dramas.

Likeable but they messed up really hard with some things

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is an enjoyable drama, especially in the beginning. I like that they showed how normally Youngwoo can live, she can work, she can date. After all she is not a sick person. Her relationship with Junho was also one of the best things in the drama, it’s well made and it’s good to see a representation of autistic ppl dating and this not being an issue. Also, most of the characters have really great chemistry with each other, they’re really charismatic and lovable as well. Junho is one of the most perfect guys I’ve seen in a kdrama. Some cases were good too and in general the show can entertain us. I’m also very happy with the cast, love all actors and all of them did a great job. But, I must say I liked more in the beginning, after EP12..not that much. And even with these good points I talked about above, we must talk about the really serious problems that the drama have.

I love Youngwoo but we can’t deny that her character is REALLY stereotyped. She is dorky, super smart, and is put off as a different person from others. The drama really tried to put her as a “weird person” and this is contributing to the stereotypical view that people have of autistic people. (even the korean title of the drama is “weird attoney woo” which is MADNESS). I also saw a lot ppl commenting on how her autism is "docile" and that made me realize that Eunbin changed her tone voice to be more high/cute (which I really don’t understand why this was necessary). I love her, she’s a great actress, and I think this was the direction she was given to by the director, but like…why? Also, when the drama tried to bring another autistic person (EP3 and EP10), they also filled the scenes with a lot of stereotypes. Don’t get me wront, I liked both episodes, EP3 for example was really good, it just that the way they’re choosing to show and represent autistic ppl here is a turn off sometimes.

I also feel like the drama had a hard time talking about Youngwoo, her personality, likes and stuff. Everything about her is connect to the fact that she is an autistic person, and that’s because the drama is showing and talking about this too much. We know that she likes whales (it’s her hyperfocus), and that she is a strong-willed person who wants to live independently. But I wish we could’ve seen more.

I also just don’t know what the hell happened after EP12. Youngwoo breaking up with Junho was really unecessary for me. Youngwoo’s boss being sick like WHY????? And who thought it would be a great idea to put Sooyeon falling in love with Minwoo? I would’ve understood if this was put in the beginning but after all the things he said and did? We’re talking about a drama that is showing how bad society treats autistic ppl, we’re all seeing how the main lead suffers a lot with it, so what is the reason to put the main lead friend to fall in love with a guy who is an ableist? Literally, it just don’t make any sense. It’s ridiculous. I knew Minwoo would have a redemption arc later but it was TOO LATE, like literally in the last two episodes. In the end, he didn't even had a decent or well-constructed redemption arc, everything felt extremely forced.

So yeah. I think overall, it’s a entertaining show with enjoyable characters but I don’t think it’s the ideal show to lean more about autism because if you look deeply about the perspective of autism, still have a LONG way. They’re still contributing to stereotypes and misinformation. And it seems like the writers lost their way in half of the drama, which is unfortunate. It could have been a 10/10 show for me.

Simple but really enjoyable!

Gosh, I must say that Japan romance/comedy dramas are my favorites nowadays, more than Korean or Chinese ones.

Animals is really a good example of a drama with a simple plot but with good execution. I really don’t have bad things to say about this drama because most of the things were pretty good. The plot is nice, the characters are really fun and even the love triangle didn’t bother me that much, actually it was ok. So if you’re looking for a good Japanese romcom, I really recommend this one!

Umi is a really great character, not the annoying type, I loved her. And she really grew up over the episodes. Kazuo is SO MY TYPE OMG, I think some people might find him annoying but for me even his imperfections were perfect lol Also besides being childish sometimes, I really liked the way he treated Umi. I felt in love with this actor as well. Keisuke was also nice, altough he’s really the second male lead type, always nice and perfect. Hina was also nice. I liked that she didn’t turned out to be a bitchy with Umi. Satoru could have been more annoying but hopefully he wasn’t. I pity him a little because it seems that he liked/likes Keisuke.

The chemistry between the cast was also really good. All characters had good chemistry with each other, although my fav pairings were of course Umi with Kazuo, and Umi with and her sister. Umi and Kazuo had an amazing chemistry together omg, they just matched each other.

I think the only thing I didn’t enjoyed that much was the last episode, I wish we could have seen more scenes of the main couple being together ? I just don’t understand why they had to put this thing of Kazuo wanting to live overseas. But well, on the other hand, they gave a little more of development for the character and showed that he also wanted to do something with his life.

PS: The episodes were so short omg, it was so good that I wish it was a little longer :(

Not a 10/10 serie but definitely a memorable one that the BL industry won’t be able to forget.

Boy..what a ride. I’m feeling so empty because I loved watching this bl and I really like the actors as well. After ITSAY I thought I wouldn’t see a BL so well made but KinnPorsche really did that. The acting, the OST, direction, photography, everything was SO WELL DONE. It was the same level as ITSAY for me, although it’s not perfect. So well, be prepared. This review will be a loooong one.

First, What I didn’t like:

KimChay didn’t existed in the novel and although I liked them here, I think they weren’t that necessary, especially because we have much more complex and intense couples to develop. They were pretty cute. Also Kim is SO HOT. But I think some of their scenes could have been released later, with a spin off video.

Also, what made KinnPorsche a 9/10 serie instead of a 10/10 for me is that they wanted to adapt a long story, with too much characters and complex couples with only 14 episodes. They also wasted their time with some unnecessary scenes and when we needed a more time for the important parts, they rushed a little. A lot of people complained about too much scenes of KinnPorsche but they are the main couple and main characters, they need to be well developed. Instead of them, we had much more unnecessary scenes as the whole ghost thing with Tawan, like please. Kim’s scenes investigating was for what? Also Porschay is cute but he had more scenes in the end that he should. VegasPete were the most damaged with all of this as their story were complety rushed.

As VegasPete were rushed, their story looked even more problematic. Pete was a difficult character to understand, his choice was difficult to understand and it’s hard to believe that he fell in love with Vegas with so less scenes of them. Vegas changed too fast as well. He was beating Pete in one episode and in the same episode worrying for him. Vegas said he saw in Pete’s eyes that Pete liked when Vegas lose control like i’m sorry…when he saw that? I couldn’t see this lol Like everything about them happened too fast and it shouldn’t because they are really complex.

What I liked:

They really made a good adaptation for Kinn and Porsche. They made Kinn a more likeable character, they removed most of the SA scenes and instead we had much more cute and likeable scenes of them. I wish they made Tawan plot different because this part really made Kinn look stupid as a character, but well, I won’t complain too much because at least I liked him waaaay better here than in the novel. Actually, Kinn was a very attractive character for me here. He loved Porsche but also gave a choice for Porsche to follow his own path. Kinn in the novel wouldn’t do that and that’s why I loved him here. Porsche as well is more likeable here because in the novel he was really annoying and also very homophobic. Also, Kinn and Porsche scenes were so well done that it was insane, looked so real most of the times. They were like a hot and cute couple and ApoMile killed with their chemistry and good acting. I didn’t like Kinnporsche in the novel but loved them in the serie.

VegasPete scenes were too heavy for me in the novel so i’m glad they removed the multiple rape scenes, this made the couple look more likeable for me, although still problematic. Also, BibleBuild had a awesome chemistry as well and omg Bible KILLED this character, he was made for Vegas. It’s hard to believe that it was his first job as actor.

I think all characters in KinnPorsche are really charismatic, this is one of the most positive things in the BL for me. I LOVED THANKUN!! Every one said he was crazy but he was the most intelligent of them all. Arm, Tay and the others were good as well, unfortunately we had less scenes of them. But my favorite ones were definitly Vegas and Kinnporsche tho. Vegas is really hard to not like. He was evil, smart, manipulative, charming. A true mafia. His story is also likeable, although a little cliche. I think it’s obvious to say that he is the best character in KinnPorsche. But I also liked Kinn and Porsche. They were pretty attractive for me, even with their dumb scenes.

Also the ACTING. Almost all actors here did a pretty decent job, especially Bible, Apo and Mile, they were phenomenal. The CHEMISTRY is also a good point. ApoMile were insane and BibleBuild were also really good.

As I said before, it’s also a pretty well done serie with beautiful scenes. The cinematography was on point and they made use of colors to give meaning to the characters and their scenes. They also made use of a lot of symbologies, they knew what they were doing here.

The plot is also interesting, although the mafia part it can be not that used. The story about Porsche’s family changed here in the serie and althought it may look forced, this for me it was clearly a tip that we may see a S2. Also, I think everybody could see that Kinn’s father it’s not that good as he want to appear and I think S2 will be about that. He’s a very smart and manipulative guy. But probably Porsche will find out the true and Kinn and Porsche will fight about that. Could Kinn trust Porsche, betray his father and be at Porsche’s side? We will see.

In the end, even not being a 10/10 serie, KinnPorsche is definitely a memorable one that neither I nor the BL industry will be able to forget. If you didn’t watch, I really recommend. It’s not perfect, but definitly enjoyable. Almost perfect.

PS: I will miss the cast :( let’s hope for S2.

A story about growth with some hits and fails, especially in the last episodes

2521 have some good points and it’s really good in the beginning. However, it also have some bad things and the last episodes is a downfall. Well first let me talk about the good things. The characters are captivating, the chemistry between them is beautiful, the montage and photography of the scenes are beautiful too. Also the OST makes the moments even more wonderful than they are. Talking now about the characters, my favorite ones were Yijin and Seungwan. I felt in love with Yijin (and with Joohyuk lol) and I could relate to him a lot, especially in his job with being a journalist. And Seungwan was SO INSPIRING, a badass really. Loved her so much! I also liked Heedo ofc, but she made me angry in some episodes. Jiwoong was a cutie but sometimes forgotten in the story. I hated Yurim in the beginning but she became better later.

About the story, I feel that overall the drama is about character growth before anything. Yijin finally manage to have a financially stable life and he finally reunite his family. Heedo and Yurim following their dreams and doing what they believe is right. Along with of course, Seungwan. The drama for me it was perfect from EP1 to EP13 but I think that in some points, the development of some things just felt off and the drama just lost themselves in the last episodes, it was a mess. Let me talk more about the things I didn’t like that much below.

First, maybe an unpopular opinion, but I didn’t like the whole enemy thing with Yurim in the beginning and their friendship development was poorly done for me. Yurim only apologizing to Heedo AFTER finding out that Heedo was her internet friend sounded extremely bad. It looked like she only regretted being an asshole to her because she discovered the truth, and for me it would been better if she regretted everything before finding that, because her apologies would look more sincere. They tried to explain why Yurim treated Heedo that way but it still wasn’t a plausible reason for me. Heedo just end up forgiving her and they become friends after that and as I am weak for squad and friendships, I just tried to ignore everything because I wanted them to be friends from the beginning. But honestly, for me it was kind off.

Also, I know the couple is not the priority thing in the drama but it’s kind disappointing how they show a lot of scenes of them but we don’t have that much of scenes of them BEING A COUPLE. They only get together in the end of episode 13, we have more focused scenes of them only in episode 15, and in 16 they break up. I was really disappointed with this because the chemistry between the main leads are insane but they took a time to make them finally have 25-21. Actually for me, they spent too much scenes of them still being a minor, I think 10/11 episodes could be enough and then we could have more scenes of them being an adult.

Talking more about the ending, omg, it was such a disappointment. When they showed us the reasons why Heedo and Yijin have to break up, even being realistic, it just felt silly because it could be easily solved. They were always helping each other and then suddenly looked like they didn’t matched anymore and that’s it. Yijin transferring to NY was no sense to me as well. Even Jiwoong and Yurim got together in the end but the MAIN COUPLE couldn’t? Ugh. (PS: I shipped Jiwoong more with Seungwan too lol for me him and Yurim was just meh.)

Idk it just felt like everything was happening too fast in the last episodes. Also, the others characters not appearing in the present time it was so??? It made seem like except Heedo, none of them were important. What happened to the other characters in the present, and especially Yijin? He’s also the main character lol It sucks because it’s a drama so we expect that all relevant characters have a good conclusion. Plus, the drama sell this image of squad, friendship and love but everything just feel like it wasn’t that important in the end. They just make present time Heedo visit the tunnel again, put a scene of young Heedo saying goodbye to Yijin and that’s it? I know nothing last forever but we should have seen more about the characters in the end.

So yeah, like I said, for me the whole thing with 2521 was about character growth and especially about Heedo’s growth. The characters are good and EP1 to EP13 are a masterpiece. I loved! But the development of some characters and the last episodes were poorly done for me. This made a drama that it looked like a 10/10 before, lose some points. Still recommend tho if you like themes such as friendship and growth, but be prepared to maybe be disappointed in the end.

Almost a masterpiece

Not me has so much positive things, omg. First, the direction of the scenes, the OST, the development of the main characters, everything is well done. The topics addressed are important for today's society and they deal very well with the topics. There are also symbologies in some scenes that makes everything so poetic.

The couples are also good. First OffGun, as always, had an amazing chemistry together and their acting were on point. I've known them since Theory of Love and for me they just outdo themselves. I also loved both characters, Sean and White/Black. Their scenes were beautiful. But for me, YokDan were scene stealers in a lot of moments. FIRST WAS JUST AMAZING!! He threw himself completely into the character and it didn't even feel like he was playing a character. Everything felt so true. And oh my god, YokDan scenes were perfect! The relationship of an activist and a policeman, the morals of both characters and how they handled things was perfect. The scene when Yok draws Dan, it was a symbology and a clear reference to the painting of Lucifer being expelled from heaven, and it blowed my mind how they even thought about doing this because if fit so well with the characters, it was just amazing. I also loved how this couple revolved around art, it made all their scenes look extremely poetic to me. And honestly, if OffGun weren't the main leads, First and Gawin would have stolen the scene completely and would have outshined the main leads from the series.

Now talking about the things I didn't liked that much, its a few things but yeah. The relationship of Gram and Eugene seemed so forced. I didn't feel chemistry between them at all and they were just flat. Its funny because I shipped Gram with EVERYONE but Eugene lol. Todd`s ending was so cringe to me lol I actually thought it was a little strange that nobody died in this series because they were dealing with heavy topics and strong people so the ending it was kind of...too light I think.

Also, 14 episodes felt short...episode 13 and 14 seemed SO RUSHED. YokDan`s scene was beautiful but like...a little abrupt. Dan just said sorry, Yok punched him and thats it? lol We should have seen Dan's perspective about things, him leaving the police and a little more of a conversation about everything that happened. I know this couple doesn't need necessarily to speak because both of them have THAT CHEMISTRY but come on, Dan betrayed them and Yok almost died. So yeah, I wish we had more scenes to give a perfect ending for them, as they deserved. But I have to say..even with this unsatisfactory ending, they stole the show in the last episode. A lot of people were disappointed about the politic thing but for me it was fine and even realistic. They will have to fight for a long time because the problem is in the system so the open ending seemed right. But I do agree that maybe we could have seen more things about Tawi and stuff.

So yeah, for me Not me it was.a big and satisfying surprise and unfortunately a little underrated. But I do hope people will give a chance and watch because its really deserving!
