i saw some tweets on x /twitter talking about the kiss scenes in this drama which is how i heard of this drama recently. going to give it a try 🤣

is anyone watching this on iqiyi? why are the English subtitles so terrible?! i understand enough mandarin to know it’s so off especially the pronouns (the subs says “I/me” when it should be “he/her/they”; aka talking about someone else and not themselves)

i pushed through and it picks up in the last three episodes but still paused to watch something more exciting. just watching to know how it ends atp

i’m struggling to finish this… the beginning was interesting but the end is falling flat :/

i searched the male lead’s age two times throughout watching this bc 1) i last saw him in Hikaru No Go where he was just a child in it 2) he looks so awkward in intimate scenes like he doesn’t know how to kiss properly or where to put his hands everytime 😭😭

he’s attractive but seems too innocent and a bit lacking for the role :(

instead of 40 mins x 30 eps. As someone who tells myself I’ll sleep when this episode ends, helps with shorter episodes 🤣

hi! thanks for the reply sorry i missed it until now! i actually finished go ahead last night and loved it. The last few episodes wasn't what i expected and honestly expected a little bit more romance but I do recommend watching the cdrama version!

i decided to watch 'Go Ahead' first because i saw a lot of reviews on reddit was saying it was a lot better and unfortunately a few said they dropped Family by Choice after a few episodes. The comment that struck me the most was 'how can they condense 40 episodes into 16 eps (chinese vs korean drama).' so i was worried watching family by choice first would spoil the ending for me haha

i also already started on watching Family by choice (5 episodes in). Although i'm thoroughly enjoying it, it's giving very typical kdrama situations which isn't as exciting as watching the cdrama version. However, so far i do think the kdrama version will be a lot more romantic than the cdrama version. The Cdrama version is more focused on the relationships between the family members and friends vs the couple

I love the plot of this story so i can't wait to finish Family by Choice!
