i can’t stand the poor photoshop / ai of Wang Ruohai + the slow developing romance + Jun Cheng’s mom 😭

i haven’t seen Ollie since Asia Super Young… he grew so much i almost couldnt recognize him 😭😭😭 he was such a baby then omg. I was shocked when i saw him in a BL clip of this drama on twitter and had to watch this 😂

i only watched the first episode of EF and it has the same rom com, fluffy light romance feel as In A class of her own so you might like that one too

i rated it 8/10 but it wasnt for SWL i don’t think i would have liked it as much / rated it so high probably a 7/10 bc it was entertaining enough

its a cute fluffy light romance historical drama to watch in between dramas and the plot and story was interesting throughout the drama.
JJY’s acting is meh and it came out a long time ago (2020) so depends if thats your cup of tea!

i just watched their older drama together (In a Class of her own) not too long ago! I feel like main leads rarely act together again especially for same genre (both historical dramas) so i wasn’t expecting this

I don’t know when The Oath of Love (2022) was filmed (before or after she left HR) but she ruined the drama for me. i watched it for Xiao Zhan & would’ve rated it higher if it wasnt for Yangzi 😔 but i def see her growth in more recent dramas

i absolutely hated her in airheaded roles … and she had so many of those roles in the past. flourished peony changed my opinion of her. i think this drama deserves at least 8-8.5 at least from the first few eps. we’ll see!

whys this rated so low? the first 6 episodes are pretty interesting so far!
it’s not a romance (-heavy) drama so don’t expect it if you plan to watch this drama.

i actually have prejudice for the main FL actress from her previous work but her acting has become less annoying recently. im glad she’s taking more mature roles with more depth. i watch a lot of cdramas and this cured the recent decent/good cdrama release drought for me so far!
