Cause it's rushed, novel had 300+ chapters while drama had 15 episodes π so it doesn't make sense but in the novel it does not bother you with all the backstory and all.

But I must say aside awkwardness the scenes are similar in the novel. Wish it had more episodes so you can understand the "missing" story and present and future. I like this so far.
