Yes, I agree with you. When Destiny Brings the Demon is the dark horse of 2025 - it had been in my watchlist for some time, but I was expecting to drop it out so I could catch up on Shadow Love. However, the truth was otherwise. One more thing, you should never touch any of this director or screenwriter's (she's the biggest reason of the drama's downfall) work if possible.

I've watched until ep 22 currently. And so far, I use 2x speed to make it faster (can't afford to waste too much time) and only normal speed for suspenseful scenes. I'll try to binge again tomorrow. One more thing to add, I'm shocked at its rating from 8.0 plunging to 7.8. I even thought that this show is on par with Wei Yu's other projects (indeed, it is) and hope it could receive a better score than this.

May need to lower my rating after I complete it. We're going round and round in circles without conclusion (I'm at ep 21 btw, kinda hard to watch with exams mixed on top of my schedule).

That's one point for sure. Another one that I've found is the way he treats Sun Zhou. I don't know why but I always sense there's something off with it. And he's definitely feeling uneasy with Yu Rong around.

The Hunter Guild looks chaotic and mismatched, if you ask me. Furthermore, they lack a proper foundation as each has personal goals and means (sounds selfish but that's how it works). It reminds me of my school's group project where only one or two people do the work while the others sit around, chatter like bees, and of course pray for the best. I only tolerate this plot hole because I've experienced this kind of thing quite a lot.

Magical rooster, you remind me of it in The Seven Relics of Ill Omen. One of my all-time favorite thrillers.

If you have rooted yourself in TBOY universe, there won't be any trouble of memorizing names. I tend to forget some names too, but end up memorizing all of them. I'm feeling very bad for Peng Xiaoran. Her screentime is awfully limited (not even on par with Yang Yutong's Bai Hehuai) even though she's a top-billed female lead. However, based on the OG source, Mu Yumo indeed has limited parts (I'm not blaming for that tho). Hope she can get more parts in the future episodes. I'm wholly invested for her flirting with Tang Lianyue.

I'm not sure if there is a Lone Void Array in the anime. But, I can guarantee that he's not the real Heaven Official anymore, but it's Hong Ying in disguise (remember, Hong Ying can turn into anyone at any time). Maybe (just a maybe), Heaven Official is already dead too. About Su Muyu being calm and reserved even when drugged by Drunken Dream Bone, he must've been prepared to perform this feint to lure the Shadow Sect into the bait. Nah, the Water Official always wants to be free from his duty at the Soul Reapers' Hall and has been waiting for the right time to turn against the other officials. Sooner or later, things are going for tumultuous roller coaster.
