1. First cry: Lin Yiyang mourning over his shifu (Amidst a Snowstorm of Love) 2. Second cry: Hailou crying over Shrimpie's fake death (Archives: The Nanyang Mystery) 3. Third cry: Poor Fu Xinshu being dumped and scammed (money) by his emotionally distant and cruel mother (Road to Success)
Novel readers, does Fu Xinshu and Wen Chengye have a personal vendetta in the past? The latter seems to be hostile to the former for no reason and even breaks his promise to attend the match.
Oh, that's because of the limited screentime of the adult arc, as though they wanted to rush things and cram every…
Haixia is supposed to be killed off in the novel, but you can't have Ryan Ding in a cameo role, right? He will come back after Hailou gathers all the herbs necessary to create the antidote to fake death pill. But, his personality is inevitably going to undergo an extreme change.
By the way, I restart "Time Raiders" again and this time, guess I have to suppress my jumpscare against horror creatures. Just finished through King Lu's Seven Star Palace arc tho. I'll mark it as completed when I have seen the whole show. If you guys are curious of my watchlist, you can see that I have marked "Never-Ending Summer" with 29 episodes. That's because I'm very tired of witnessing the similar cliche trope over and over again. So, no more ranting this and that, okay?
P.S. Just need somewhere else to pour out my thoughts.
The most iconic scene I can think of is how Hailou manages to bomb the cave (in ep 1) and claims to the party that he's lying through his teeth. I'm laughing hard again as I rewatch the scene LMFAO.
I try my best to hold on and see if there's any improvement. If the worst comes to the worst, I might have to drop it despite my love for Saiunkoku Monogatari. It's such a shame that this drama performs underwhelming compared to my wishful hope.
I can't help myself but I need to keep using skipping button as some scenes are too cringe to my liking and gives zero impactful or inspirational meaning whatsoever. I admit the fact that it was filmed back in 2023 gives off the lack of finesse in cinematography aspect, creating an awful first impression for new watchers (I've yet to see the poison scene, so I'll comment on that later). Right now, I'm only investing myself for the boys and the second couple. I'm also sorry for Deng Wei, but I'm liking Sa Sakujun's anime version more.
Six of Crows fan in the wild! I don't find much similarities between them though other than them having the "mastermind"…
1. Kaz isn't crippled like Shrimpie, but still, both of them have similar trouble when it comes to mobility. 2. They share similar psycho trait (if I'm not mistaken, Kaz enjoys the pleasure of torturing Pekka Rollins and his lackeys (due to personal vendetta or whatsoever, I've forgotten). Just like how Shrimpie wants to destroy Mo Yungao's army. 3. Both of them tend to keep things bottled up inside their minds (the part where Hailou asks Shrimpie if he's okay is also similar when Inej asks Kaz the same thing). 4. They have strategist mind and tend to analyze every situation before acting, unless fueled by uncontrollable rage or personal revenge.
Guess that's all the similarities I can find between the two of them.
Watching both previews, I believe this isn't going to be like the anime at all. I think they are borrowing the…
Just want to make some correction. Dai Luwa's character is Ran Juusan - she's in the anime, but has different love interest. Riley Wang's character is Seiran Shi - Ryuuki's elder brother and Shuurei's bodyguard. I don't know why, but they make them as a couple. Ran Ryuuren's is Ran Shuuei's sibling and an eccentric one on top of that - I guess he is played by Jerome Deng. Sometimes, these names can create confusion to other people who have seen the OG source. Personally, I'll still call them by their original names instead of using these ridiculous new names.
The black gloves that Shrimpie wears reminds me of Kaz Brekker from "Six of Crows". Their personalities are similar too, now that Shrimpie hasn't gotten over his psycho period.
