Promise of Chang'an is the only CY drama that i don't watch yet. Because I think my fragile heart probably couldn't handle it. 😅😅😅 it's on my plan to watch list tho.. but for now, I still has no courage.. haha..

Also, im impressed that you go read the novel for the ml before the drama airs.. because usually it will ruin the enjoyment of the drama.. haha..

Agree with you. Im glad you can still enjoy the drama while i can't. The story is already beautiful but with so much adjustment and changes for i dont know what reason.. it's hard for me to accept at this point.

I agree with you, the 1st life is so important in the novel but what r they doing w the hystory of 30000 years ago? Maybe they want this to directly relate to LBFAD? I dont know..

The problem is, when i heard about this adaptation.. i was so excited and happy.. honestly, I'm a huge fan of the novel, i think i read it at least twice... so, without the novel, I'm not even sure I'll be interested w this drama since i dont really follow either the ml or fl as an actor. I even think that the 2ml is better looking than ml.

But, we will see later. Im still thinking to watch the 1st life (2nd life in the drama).. to make my mind.

The major diff is there is no 2nd ML and 2nd FL in the original story. Since i watched only till ep.3.. the 1st life also not the animal but the 2nd life that started in ep. 2/3. For me the 1st life is very important since that's where ML started fall in love (or having a complicated feeling) towards FL in the novel.

Also there is no history of 30000 years ago.

Just watch it without relate it to the novel, it will be better i think.

At first i plan to watch LY7T since i am a novel fans.. but they change the story so much, so i drop it for now.. let see later.. so im now on rewatch mlc.. maybe cont. TLP and LYF. Im also a fans of republican drama.. thinking of starting the infiltrator.

Yes. They deviate too much from the novel. As a novel fans, I'm actually very disappointed, i feel like im waiting in vain. When the 2nd ML and 2nd FL introduced, i already feeling like dropping this drama.

But i watched this till ep. 3, I'm not sure if ill come back, maybe i will try again.
