if you mean the drama duoluo continent, it is not related, if you mean the animation and original source - it is related.. the 1st drama adaptation change the plot of original work.. so the drama relation of this with the 1st one is just the characters not the story..

I think for LA, this is actually quite good.. It give me the same feeling of donghua more or less.. just it cant go into details like the donghua, I wish they make proper adaptation like remake a 1st season for the 1st 100 eps of donghua that they skipped here and only cover w flashback.. I still enjoy this a lot tho. The actors really do a good job.
