What I think is not okay is the amount of hate Junseo, Sian, Youjin and other contestants are receive on their socials. None of them has done anything bad to deserve such reaction (regardless if people like them on the show or not).

You have nothing to apologize to me for.
Anyway, sometimes it’s hard to disengage or stay calm, especially if you disagree very strongly with someone or their comments seem harmful in some way. I struggle with that too, a lot (I get riled up pretty easily haha). Rational, well articulated conversation is the key (even if it’s just on your part, at least you won’t have any regrets)!

I must admit, I don’t think I’ve seen such “chaos” in a comment section on this site before (although, honestly I had only started frequenting comment sections here only about a year and a half ago).

Their friendship is very nice, yes.
It has always been like that, most of them are there to promote themselves, in all seasons of the show. Also, even if someone is looking for love, it doesn’t mean that they don’t want to promote themselves and vice versa.
The show production actually seems to cut out a lot of interesting scenes, if they’re from the contestants they don’t want to put attention on or if they don’t fit into a scenario that they’re trying to create.

I’d like to say, that calling Junseo “cart titan” is a bit… you can think about him what you want, of course, but if you are able to call all the other contestants by their names properly, then you could do that with him too.
I’m not trying to attack your opinion, but it’s about having decency and keeping on a certain level, since a lot of people here are being very extreme.

the fact that he gets to win the games (because he is fit), is because a lot of the games are concentrated on strength and physicality which I also don’t like that they all are like that (something more intellectual or helping to integrate different members of the cast would have been nice) but what type of challenges they have is decided by the production crew, where is his fault in that?

I feel like, in this season especially, people are really treating them like kdrama characters instead of real people. Some are even ignoring or dismissing what the contestants say in order to create their own narrative about pairings they (dis)like.
I wouldn’t call Theo fake, I think he is a genuinely nice guy and I like him, but him being so invested in Sian from the get go, being so intensively devoted to her (someone he just met) might seem a bit too overwhelming at best (or a bit weird and not genuine, at worst).

when was he aggressive though? He was kinda rough, there were moments that I didn’t like as well, but he didn’t do anything genuinely bad or aggressive…

I’m so confused, one group of people accusing another group of people of hating on Theo, but I can’t find any of the supposed hate comments…
Also why is everyone so vulgar and aggressive, like can’t you hold a normal conversation???

Anyway, I just wanted post my thoughts regarding something that I’ve been seeing for quite a while now.
I see a lot of “I thought Junseo is going to be like Dex but he isn’t and I’m disappointed” type of comments, on yt or here, and I feel like it’s completely… this assumption is a wrong way of thinking and it’s a unfair towards both of these guys.
The only thing that they have in common like that is that they both were in UDT, they might have met met during their service (though I don’t think that they’re close, doesn’t look like it) and I know that both of them have been trained by the same officer (a guy that also was in Physical 100 and mentioned both of them among others, when asked about UDTs that he’s trained) during their respective training time.
Do you think that Dex is “like Dex” because he was a soldier? No! That’s just his personality, it’s just him being him! (his personality is also just well suited for variety shows etc, but not everyone is like that, some people might learn to be like that, some might not be able to, it’s fine)
And although they share some experiences, Junseo is a completely different person, with his own personality.
It’s bound to be different!
And there’s nothing wrong with that, holding such expectations that he's going to be like Dex, because “they both were soldiers” or something, is unwarranted.
(Such scenario might have been a bit played into by the production crew, drawing connections etc, but people please, use your critical thinking skills.)

I thought that it’s going to be more of a simple drama, but the plot thickens with every episode like whaaat

Thanks for replying! I guess he might not be… but I honestly hope it doesn’t discourage him too much then, it’s hard when you’re doing something for the first time and the response in not good… the idea of the story wasn’t bad either, it seemed interesting, just the later episodes where it got all too messy and it didn’t work out in the end.
