This drama had both good and bad traits, but unfortunately, didn't feel like it stood out very much. Because I am a sap, I loved the corniness and humor towards the end of the drama, but these were the only traits that really stood out to me. That being said, the humor was mastered greatly and it made me laugh throughout the drama. It had some darker edge to the drama, probably thrown in there to balance the corniness and humor, but it was handled okay.
What brought my marks down for this drama is that the romance itself didn't seem that noteworthy. For all the time and script dedicated to it, you would think that the romance would be superb, but it felt sort of dull. Perhaps this is due to the lack of build up that it takes for the two main characters to get together, and the fact their romance happens so quickly. The romance (while funny because of the humor) just didn't provide the audience with substance to make it significant or special. It felt kind of dry, so much so, that the side romances were actually almost handled better (with more depth) than the lead romance itself.

So for the main romance, I rate this drama low, 5.0.
For the side romances, I rate this drama 7.5.
For humor I rate it 9.0.

It had potential for me, just didn't quite achieve it.
Overall, 7.0

When I first tried to watch Healer, it was last year after it had recently come out. I watched the first few episodes, thought it had an interesting premise (although healer seemed a bit like spiderman to me). For some reason, I think because of school, I wasn't able to devote time to really invest into watching it.
As I am trying to finish shows that I put off over the last year, I picked Healer back up where I left off, and within days have binged watched it because I was sucked into the storyline. I loved the interwoven storyline, the way that all of the characters were connected, and how sometimes the audience got glimpses of the past overlaying the present. Very cool.
The one thing I could have wished a little bit more for is a more concrete 'happy ending' but, given that this is more action based, I am happy that the plot resolved nicely. I'm just a sap who wanted more mush at the ending I suppose.
All in all, I ended up loving this drama about halfway through it. I loved the suspenseful elements, and how they kept the action all the way until the last few minutes of the show.
(I only marked the music down, because they use the song throughout the drama, as they do in many dramas, but it was used in every episode).

Honestly, for the biggest majority of the movie, it was painful to get through. I didn't particularly enjoy neither character at all and really didn't want to finish it. However, I am glad I did because the ending was one of the best I've seen in a while. Somehow the ending was almost enough to atone for the whole movie. I give the last 15 minutes a 10/10, while the rest of the movie only gets a 4.5/10. This gives it an average of 7.5.

(honestly, if i were to tell someone to watch it, I would tell them to skip over the middle because it would make the movie better).

In many ways, this movie follows the traditional plot of a fighting movie (like never back down). But in other ways, it's a tale of two people, and how fate can prevail. I fell in love with this movie as I watched it. I cried, laughed, and enjoyed the whole film. Unlike films where some parts feel inessential, every bit of this movie was worth watching.
Although the storyline of the fighting guy, and the girl he must protect is a bit cliche, the director altered it enough so that it was appealing. The backstory that the characters had, and how those stories connected was brilliant. The ending jumped a few years, and unlike other movies that jump time unsuccessfully, this was done very well, using the previous backstory to connect the characters once again. Even down to the ending, there is nothing more I could have wanted out of this movie.
The cast of the movie was excellent in that their acting on par to not only fulfill their roles, but render them believable and connectable to the audience. Plus, this was no easy feat, because only the two main characters have more than five minutes of screen time. To be able to have that much screen time placed on two characters, and not have story wane, or become lacking was a job well done for the director.
The music wasn't significant in this film, but they did a great job so that it wasn't distracting or taking away from the film.
I gave this a rewatch value of ten, because I feel like this is going to become a staple film for me to watch every couple of years. I enjoyed it enough that not only would I rewatch it in the future, but I would do so regurarly.
9.5/10

Initially watching this drama, it was different from what I expected. Being a sappy lover of RomComs, I didn't anticipate the storyline at first. It's unusual because instead of meeting characters before they fall in love, we meet characters who have already had their relationship end. This was a nice dynamic to have that you don't typically see in traditional RomComs. Although the storyline was jumbled at first, it presents itself more clearly after the audience is privy to more of the past of the characters. I also loved how it tricked me into thinking it was over without a complete ending (good one).
The acting and cast was good because it focuses on just a few characters, so the audience is able to follow the storyline more clearly and directly. It also allows for the audience to get attached to the various characters more deeply (I almost wanted to cry for the male leads parents at one point). However, the fact that the acting was often awkward due to the over the top corny/cringey scenes, and all of the crying was equally as awkward.
The music I really liked in that it was not hugely popular songs, and that they were able to provide background noise unto the drama when it called for it. I even went and bought one of the songs off iTunes because I liked it that much.
The rematch value is high for me, because I think that if I were to watch it again, I might not find the scenes as cringey the next time through, and because I liked the storyline a lot. It had me rooting for the main characters as a couple from early on, even though it seemed an unlikely for them.
Overall: 8.5/10

I will write my review in the order of the marks.
The storyline of Dream High itself is not terrible, and I like that they took on both light and dark concepts for the drama. It's among the first dramas that I've seen that manage to do both, while being for a younger audience. Made me think of Degrassi. The biggest thing that I took off points for was the weird ending that felt like it was randomly put together. The epilogue styled ending skipped perhaps too far into the future, and didn't provide adequate backstory of how the characters ended up in their current position. It also didn't really give the audience a proper feel of the present either, because it was all sort of smoothed together.
The acting/cast segment is unique in that it has so many K-idols in the show, which works both for and against it. On one hand, it's great to see how these idols are able to act, and somewhat comical at times, however, the show probably could have been a lot stronger if they had more actual actors.
The music gets the highest mark, due to the show being able to record audio from the cast of idols, and subsequently, having original music.
I marked the rematch value the lowest because I don't think that I would really want to rematch this whole show again. I might watch an episode here or there for laughs because of the idols present in them. I wouldn't want to sit through the whole show again only to have the lackluster ending.
