It would've been a 9/10 for me but I fast forwarded A LOT of, what I like to call, "empty space." It's when there's 2-4 minutes of silent pontification, a flashback of what literally JUST happened, or the same, re-occurring flashback.
The empty space didn't take away from the story.
Oh yeah: this is truly a narrative. There aren't apprehensive, what-if, tense moments of wonder. It's a straight-to-the-point drama that revolves around the subject of loss. It's ostensibly tragic and a very grounding experience. It's a dramatic story but stays away from being a melodrama.
I'm an emotional creature and had to deliberately try not to cry. The main girl got on my nerves sometimes, but just a little bit.
Lastly, the lessons in this story are truly humbling.
