It’s just so unnecessary. Their whole journey was painful with a handful of happiness sprinkled in. Both of them suffered SO MUCH.

I thought the romance was strong as well because of their chemistry and the business plot was weak.

I wished they focused more on the main leads instead of Lady 19. Even though Lady 19 had way too much screen time, her redemption arch wasn’t done right. Maybe they would’ve benefited if they had a few scenes of her looking conflicted after ordering to kill someone.

That was my question as well! I didn’t know there was any competition between the two as they’re so different but apparently I’m wrong because it’s getting heated haha

You should also try The Long Ballad with Zhao Lusi and Liu Yu Ning! They are the second couple but absolutely stole the show because of their chemistry. Love them there!!

I’m really surprised that LLTG didn’t make it to Netflix. Curious to know how Netflix pick their dramas.

Wow now that you mentioned it you’re absolutely right! From a princess to a slave, she does venture out! I’m patiently waiting for the CEO drama because that’s my favorite type of Kdramas. CEO cdramas have ways to go in terms of making it believable with the fashion and an interesting plot. I’m sure Lusi and William can bring it.

Do we need another collab? Yes. Yes we do.

I guess if the rating is high, it’s featured on a list so people searching for the next watch are more inclined to watch it? Not too sure.

On the flip side, I also see people making new profiles to rate dramas a 1 so maybe fans are just countering it? You’re right of course, rating here really doesn’t matter. Just like review/ratings of bias YouTube drama reviewers doesn’t matter. Just enjoy!

Boom. Happy ending.

But it’s not like she chose the business over love. Love was taken away from her (poison). Now, if Duanwu were to poison YZJ to get ahead with her business it’s another story.

I don’t think it’s the matter of choosing between career and love. It’s more like sometimes life isn’t fair and no matter what you do you can’t have everything you want. What BS.

Oy! I get it’s frustrating. What I do is that I stay off social media because spoilers are flying around everywhere lol. Hard to not accidentally see something I don’t want to see.

I love them both so I will power through. I got to say though it’s been a rollercoaster!! I keep praying for a ZLS and LYN collab after The Long Balad but THIS IS NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIND! Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful drama and I think it’s one of their best performances .. but the ENDING!!!!
