There was way too much going on and too many new characters introduced every few minutes! I was genuinely confused with the story and all the names thrown at us. So complicated!!
Iām up to episode 11 and Iām struggling with the events happening and storyline! There are soooo many characters and I canāt keep up! Whats worst is that some of them look so similar!
Iām staying for the love story because they have so much chemistry.

I ageee with you. I feel like they are just throwing information and hidden secrets at the audiences left and right. A new character is introduced every 5 minutes so Iām unable to catch up.
Im still watching it but its a shame because the FL and ML are absolutely adorable and their chemistry is amazing!

Her fighting ability doesnāt bother me much but I feel like sheās too rash and not too bright. Time after time sheās charging forward and not thinking about her own safety. I finally had to put the show on pause when she started to oppose the emperor (in front of others) about the Uyghur prince and the princessās wedding. Like GIRL! no matter how much he dotes on you heās the emperor and this is a political marriage!

The main thing for me is - the FL in Forbidden Flower isnāt trying too hard to be cute. When an actress or actor is natural, people are immersed in the story. When an actress aegyos too hard it takes me out of a drama.
I agree with you about LYX. She is very pretty and I do like her but she doesnāt have much range to me. On top of that, her action sequences are lacking. Maybe itās her lack of aura or she doesnāt have any martial arts (or dance) background but itās just blah. The director shouldāve speeded up the frame or something to make her look more fierce.
I agree with your points. I also donāt understand why ML was yearning for his āsisterā all these years (as the keychain says) - yes, they didnāt see each other for years but the dude took care of her since she was a baby. Surely the their first thought after reuniting couldnāt be romantic love/lust??

I liked Lin Sui a lot! Mike Angelo is so fun to watch. His expressions, voice and the way he carries himself drew me in.
