I finally had time to sit down and gather my thoughts on this drama and honestly I’m still blown away. A lot of people chose not to watch it because of the age issue but they’re genuinely missing out on a masterpiece. She’s a professional actress, this is her job and the drama never included anything inappropriate for her age. Of course, I understand this is just my opinion. KTTPH has officially become one of my top two Chinese dramas of all time. I enjoyed every single episode which is rare for me because I usually skip a lot. What captivated me most was the emotional connection, understanding, and trust between the leads. These days, it feels like only dramas with intense, passionate romance get praised but why can’t we appreciate the basics of love again? Understanding. Connection. Trust. Romance doesn’t need to be loud to be meaningful. My number one drama is LLTG and I’ve realised both shows share something similar. Love that grows slowly and naturally without relying on intimate or passionate scenes. And for the acting, Aimi was wonderful but HMH’s performance was on another level. His emotional depth as XWY surprised me. He’s far more talented than I expected and he’s definitely gained a new fan. I’ll be watching every drama he’s in from now on!
