I loved the movie. The plot, the family love and bond, the 80's vibe, the fast cars, I loved all of it. Yoo Ah in really did justice to his character. The is really funny, I laughed my arse off. But it also has it's serious moments, which was so good to watch. The movie was properly paced as well. Hooked me from beginning to end. A solid 9 out of ten. A must watch.
I watched this movie recently and I absolutely loved it. Ahn Hyo-Seop and Lee Min-ho ate their roles down. I also loved Jisoo in this, she's really coming into her own as an actress. Generally speaking, plot and story-wise, I one percent loved it. The only thing I would say is it's flaws is the CGI. It's not bad but it needs much more work. General rating, 8.7 out of 10. I really really hope there's a part 2.
I watched both seasons back to back because I hadn't seen since it came out. And I love both seasons. But I love season 2 slightly more. The jokes landed for me. And the villains ate. Not all villains need a backstory or a redeeming story. Some villains are just evil and just want power. Pilgwang and Gelly, 10/10 as villains. They really embodied evil. Ma Juseok on the other hand was the kind of villain you had to have pity for because he was pushed into it, so that's another kind of villain/bad guy, 10 out of 10. I loved his story. I also loved the fact that Hana and So Mun have a sibling relationship instead of romantic relationship. I'm soo happy about that. I loved JangMul here as well, and how he still continues to pursue Mae-Ok and look after her. The only thing I'd say that I was a bit disappointed in was Jeong-gu as the new counter. I was so excited for the new counter and was more excited when he became one. And I was all for the “fool with a hero's heart” storyline. I'm just a bit disappointed that his potential was doused. I felt like he should have learnt how to fight well by the end of the series as So Mun. Yes, he was an asset to the team with his sniffing skills but I felt like he could've done more if he had gotten the treatment So Mun got when he first came, y'know the training and lessons and all of that. I just had a lot of expectations for Jeong-gu and I feel like he had so much potential. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the season very much. Final rating, 9 out of 10. If you haven't watched it, please do.
Me personally, I don't hate or have any resentment towards Yi Chen's brother. I don't know why. Both brothers love each other very much and I can't hate on that. Secondly, Nobody deserves physical harm or torment because they don't want a relationship anymore. Yes it's hard and painful but Yi Chen made a decision and moved on with it. Lu Feng should have moved on from the relationship. Things happen, sht go wrong but it is what it is. Yi Chen might have made a questionable decision (which he did by putting his family first, nothing wrong with that, even though it's not bad to be selfish once in a while) but it is absolutely wrong and indefensible what Lu Feng did and is doing to Yi Chen. I honestly don't want to see them together again. They both should go their separate ways. Relationship is not by force. Travelling abroad doesn't even sound like a bad idea to me. Yi Chen needs a break from the toxic air. I say he should do it, I'm in full support.
I really enjoyed this drama. All the actors and actress nailed their characters. I enjoyed watching them especially the caption. He's really funny. The drama in general has good comedic timing in my opinion. The only downside for me is the romance between Han Tae-joon and Miss Yoon. I either totally skipped or fast-forwarded their conversations. I just wasn't feeling it. I guess that's just me though. Asides that, I loved the drama. Solid 8.8/10.
Is watching season 1 necessary to understand season 2?
No, not really. If you want to know the back stories of the the priest and his friends and how they met each other, you should definitely watch it. But it's not necessary to understand season 2.
Am I the only one who wants the prosecutor to go out with the Drug Lord. I wanther to take him serious
A small part of me wants that too. It's becoz he's just so cute and shy when's he's with her. But a larger part of me knows Hongsik is a criminal and he should be sent to prison so I don't want them to end up together. I don't even think she can, knowing full well he's a mass murderer and a bonafide drug lord. It won't even work out. She's a prosecutor and he's a criminal. It's not going to work out, unless he cleans up his act be coz of her and serves his time. Let's see in the coming episodes if she will take him serious.
I have said it before and I'll say it again. I absolutely love this season of the fiery priest. I get that some ppl find the comedy forced or over-the-top. But for me and many others, it's right up our alley. The drama is extremely funny. I also read some comments about the unnecessary illness. I mean, if you think about it, it's not out of place. Kim Haeil has taken a lot of hits, bumps, blows, inhaled certain amounts of smoke from bombing, etc during his time in the NIS. Even during his exploits in season 1, he also took some dangerous hits. While it is sad he has an illness, I don't think it's unfound or unreasonable to have one after everything he's been through. I'm not saying he's supposed to, I'm just saying it's not far-fetched that he does. Honestly, I don't mind Kim Hongsik's love at first sight storyline. Although, it's going to be kinda sad when he finds out that Kyung-Sun is also after him. For me, so far so good. This season might not necessarily be better than or as good as season 1. But for me, it is definitely living up to season 1. It is very good and interesting. I'm really enjoying it.
Yes, yes and yes. It is very much worth watching. I will say tho, a lot of people don't fancy the type of comedy employed in this drama but I absolutely love it, the comedy, the action and everything in between. There is not a single episode where I didn't laugh out loud. The action is top-notch. The fight scenes are amazing, extremely well done. Just give it a watch. It's definitely worth the watch.
Absolutely loved it. From episode 1-4 so far, I'm invested. I couldn't stop laughing while watching. It's literally so funny. My favorite scene from episode 4 was the joker concept fight scene. The joker-themed costumes, the entrances, the dialogues, the fight itself. Everything is*chef's kiss*. It was so amazing. Plus the fact that Goo Ja-young is Gu Dae-gu's aunt made me laugh out loud and their conversations almost always evoke laughter from me. I can't wait to see their dynamic going forward.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed the season very much. Final rating, 9 out of 10. If you haven't watched it, please do.
