My first modern Chinese drama, I don't know how I feel about it yet. The first two episodes seemed interesting but I can kinda predict where this is going. At times, I felt a little bored but I'm looking forward to watch the upcoming episodes.
I genuinely don't know how people comment so many bad things about this BL. It's slice of life, a slow burn romance. It's meant to be slow and go in circles because that's how a lot of first love stories are too. Not everything has to be cute or dramatic all the time. And I don't even like BLs that much but I love this one because it's quite realistic to some extent. The rating is high because it's relatable, I think. It really brings me back to an anime I love called Sasaki to Miyano, the manga is really good too. I don't know why people force themselves to watch something and complain about it just to say they've finished. Life is too short for that, go watch something you like instead. Like???
I hated episode 9 with the passion, everything I wanted to happen, didn't. Then that friend of Chiharu... ugh. The preview of episode 10 seemed positive at least. They edge me and not in a good way ..
The trauma relapse he had on episode 8 from the previous episodes is something so real.
I know that Wataru takes things very slowly but like, he's figuring himself out which is pretty normal. Chiharu seems more experienced in dating. Which we know about it earlier in the drama. I think this drama wants to capture the feelings of self acceptance, not just the romance.
