Every episode ending make me want to keep watching. It is addicting.

After reading some of the review, want to start this, but do I need to watch S1 first?

This drama is not for everybody. I have been to religious gathering similar to this and so intrigued to the progress. Some philosophy feel like making sense at the beginning, but need to be careful. That is the trick to suck you in. It gets more and more trouble toward the end.
