If someone said that they like me loud and proud I would probably take a step back and see how he acts or behaves for a couple of days, yuer on other hand fell head over heels but tried to deny her feelings i think that was her biggest problem. Also in today's episode she said it clearly that she gets jealous and petty, but hewen didn't react much so i doubt she's his #1 at all. But I agree if hewen wants mature love then xiaoyu is better for him

Yuer seems to want a relationship where she can be petty, unreasonable and expects more from partner. I'm more convinced that xilun is right partner for her.
Hewen on the other hand is very practical, like when yuer accepted that she gets jealous and petty easily there was no reaction cause that was a very big sign of yuer liking hewen.
