I loved the 2 brothers in MJTY. Ryan and his Didi. They are like the cool kids in school.
Ryan was sizzling hot with his girl Shangguan Qian. Wished EG would have given them a better or complete story. So now what is going to happen? Shangguan Qian will have his baby outside and bring it up by herself? Will a child appear one day at the doorstep of the Gong resident looking for his dad? Makes for a good story.
And hated that they left us hanging with Esther and Zhang LingHe's characters. FUIYOH, let them be together already, they went through quite a lot also.

Just finished my very first watch of this drama. I put it off for a long time because I had the ending spoiled…
It was not meant to be a sad ending but a hopeful open ending in the drama. But I guess because they had put the viewers through so much angst, it would have been better that the drama show an obvious happy ending like in the novel.

With the novel's happy ending confirmation, I think one would understand the OE of the drama and not feel sad for TTJ and LSS. But yeah, it would have been better to keep to the author's intended ending. That would have given everyone closure.

I think many of us here were sucked in the moment Luo Yunxi's demon god character came on scene in the first few minutes and then contrast that to his hostage prince character. 🤌🏻 He is otherworldly gorgeously handsome. 🤤😍 And the chemistry between him and costar BaiLu was just fire. 🔥❤️🔥 But be warned this drama can be angsty in some episodes. Yanxi Palace is a good show. But I guess it's like how some actors are forever engraved with a particular character that they play? Like in our minds Mark Hamill is forever Luke Skywalker. Daniel Radcliffe is forever Harry Potter. So hard to disassociate them from that role that made them so well known and loved. LOL

I am kinda neutral about WJY, in some scenes in TD, I cannot help but see Yanxi Palace Wei Ying Luo coming out from her performance. LOL I think in my mind, WJY = Wei Ying Luo. 😅
