Huh? Did he appear in dat show?? Alamak wat character was dat?
Ep 28 was where he first appeared. I thought he looked so familiar. He is the bad guy in charge of selling the mute slaves in Yunding Immortal Steps. He suits the crazy bad guy roles. LOL
TSJβs essence character is captured in this drama. He is smart, yet moments of indecisiveness because of his…
Based on what was shown in the drama:
I agree that Jing was showered with love growing up. But I do not see that as the reason for causing him to be passive.
I think it is made up of a combination of things. Jing's personality, which is the amiable type who does not like conflict. He tries to make things right with minimal damage/fighting to everyone involved. This personality, combined with his sense of loyalty and responsibility to the clan, his kind nature and grandma's filial piety card hanging over him, makes him compliant to grandma / family /clan demands. These demands would take priority over his own personal happiness and preferences making him come across as soft and indecisive in his pursuit of XY and nearly losing her in the process. Imagine if XL agreed to drop everything, be FFB and wander Da Huang with XY when she asked him to, we would have a different ending for this drama. Yeah, Jing was that close to losing XY forever!! π¬π
Regarding Jing aspiring to be a professional Qin player is my imagination. It is not in the novel or drama. I was thinking Jing is so repressed about his wants that maybe all he wants to be is a professional Qin player since he must have loved music a lot to have that as his power, but since he can't bring himself to say no to grandma and clan demands. So he just sucks it up and just continues to be the CEO of Tushan clan. LOL

Jing was the designated clan leader from birth. He was brought up to take care of the clan and to make good business deals and decisions so that the Tushan clan would continue to live in prosperity. Maybe he wanted to be a professional Qin player since he seems to love music a lot. That is not an option for him. He was also trapped by the filial piety card his grandma uses to get her way. It's a heavy burden because he is the amiable type and would do what grandma demands with tears rolling down his cheeks in protest. Yeah, maybe he should cry less, but then that is what makes Jing, Jing. LOL If he were the harder sort he would just ignore grandma and go live his life as what he wants. For sure he did not ever go hungry and had lots of material comforts growing up since he comes from a noble family. But the trade off was that he was in a controlling family, they decided his career, his wife, what he could and could not do and roofied him to make sure he complied. That sucks.
I think FL envied Jing's childhood days because Jing was the only one who had a somewhat decent family life with grandma, mum, dad, Hou and extended Tushan family. FL was separated from his mum and sister growing up. So I guess he envied Jing for having a full family. And Hou was a decent brother to Jing back then.

Yeah, I get what you are saying. The upbringing and family environment was different for each of the characters. Also the events that happened to them in their growing up years impacted the kind of adult they grew up into.
Jing is from a prestigious family which comes with its set of pros and cons. His upbringing was to enable him to lead the clan and likely came with many restrictions. He probably had the best childhood among the bunch in the sense that he was not starved or in want of anything, but we have all watched enough palace dramas to know to be born noble or royal is no walk in the park also.
Joas shared it in the other page. But here it is so you do not need to go through the other page to look for it.
Weiwei was a bit like a lost puppy at times. And poor FengLong was out of the picture quite fast. Poor boy. LOL TJC was like a seasoned veteran and Gege had a "get me out of here" face. Hahaha...All of them were adorable. π₯°π₯°

The words escape me. Dang! Xixi you are just so fine.
In the special Hi6 LYF episode with additional scenes, DW says the first thing he does when he wakes up is to check his mobile phone. And here we have the "proof". ππ
Is this drama as good as Love like galaxy, The untamed, Fairy and devil, My journey to you or The double ?Same…
Mmm....let's just say most of us here were not able to watch another drama for months because nothing held up to TTEOTM. It was that impactful to us. But don't take my word for it, do try a few episodes out to see if it's up your alley. Everyone is different. π
This is quite an angsty drama with gorgeous costumes and beautiful actors who brought out their characters that had us all hooked. ππ
I still have not finished Strange Tales. LOL
Have you reached EP 29? The prison scene with the other couple also had me in π. Foolish woman. Sighs.
We used up a lot of tissues for this drama. π
Collectively, I think we can build a mountain out of all the tissues used. LOL
Take care and pop by to ask your questions if any.

We were all emotional wrecks for months after the drama ended. When was the last time that happened? πͺ
