Mmmm...I just finished Lost You Forever S2 (TTEOTM Alumni Deng Wei is in it) and am watching Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty S2. STOTD is a investigative series, solving crime etc. It's an interesting drama.

I think it is challenging to adapt print to screen. It is a labour of love to be able to do so with minimum protests from the novel readers who have and love their favourite characters. How to do justice to all the characters and how do changes fit in that make sense. That is a skill in itself.
I think one such print to screen adaptation which managed to win the hearts of it's novel fans is LOTRs. Peter Jackson made some changes but as they made sense, the novel fans accepted it and his version of LOTRs made history. I remember sitting through 3.5 hours of butt cramps and insufficient tissues because my friends and I were ugly crying. 😭😭LOL All worth it. Ahh...fond memories of a good adaptation.
Trivia: The first of the three lotrs movies, The Fellowship of the Ring, was screened in 2001! Wow...23 years ago!!! And still a classic.

Thanks! I might fine-tune this a little more. But yeah, this is what I see. And without the responsibilities placed upon them by families, status and war, they can be happy and do the things they want to do and choose who they want to be with.
I wish the show had a better or smoother ending with "1000 years later" All the main characters were reborn but…

Volunteers at the Sealife and Ocean Conservation centre. The chief professor of the Sealife and Ocean Conservationboard who walks around with a white bird perched on his shoulder feels strangely familiar.
CX is an artistic recluse. Enough of the politics. He is known for his magnificent paintings of mountains, rushing rivers, ancient castles with the recurring appearance of the same girl with a peach blossom mark in his paintings. That girl is not his muse and CX says during rare interviews that these are vivid images are in his mind's eye. His art dealer comes by every month and she seems strangely familiar. Seems like his art is bought by some star soccer player who keeps asking repeatedly to meet for a meal to discuss art. Not in the mood. Maybe another time.
Jing is a Rockstar guitarist with a gorgeous mane of hair and sexy tattoos on a toned bod. He gets to sing and play the guitar, flashing his pecs with a vengeance because he couldn't do all 3 back then due to the damage dealt to him by Hou. Now, voice of an angel with a hotbod and fingerwork on strings that no one can match. LOL Favourite program to watch while getting ready is XY the health guru demonstrating Yoga moves on TV or cooking some healthy meals. Can't explain what is so alluring about this health guru, maybe he should ask her for a collaboration. He is also a patron of the Sealife and Ocean Conservation Board. Enjoys chatting with the chief professor of the board. Strange guy with a white bird perched on his shoulder. So familiar.
XL - Bespectacled and respected prodigy who works at NASA and on the board of Sealife and Ocean Conservation. Discovered a new species of deep sea snake. Keeps pet birds including a fierce white one in his office. Man of few words except when chatting with RockstarJing. Feels comfortable chatting with this guy. Favourite snacks are from XY Health Guru's range of healthy pocket snacks introduced to him by Rockstar Jing, who is a Patron of the Sealife and Ocean Conservation Board. Most agreeable taste. Can't explain why. Seems like the health guru XY is a volunteer at the Sealife and Ocean Conservation centre. She feels familiar.
FL - Star soccer player. No one can outscore him. Looks like he used his previous experience with fireball balancing to good use. Biggest fan of CX the artist, collects many of his works. Annoyed that CX does not want to meet him for a meal to discuss art. BFF with RockstarJing and they enjoy hanging out together at various celebrity bars. When they are together, they can drink the bar dry and get into all kinds of mischief. Rockstar Jing feels like a long lost brother to him.
Rushou - FL's manager. HAHAHAHA...Imagine him nagging FL not to hang out too late with Rockstar Jing. Bad influence. Blah blah blah. Enjoys going to the art gallery which sells CX's art pieces to pick up new art for FL. The gallery owner seems strangely familiar.
AN - Owner of an art gallery. CX's art dealer. Enjoys working with Soccer Player FL's manager who comes by to check out new pieces to add to FL's collection. FL's manager seems strangely familiar,
XinYue - Owner of a matchmaking agency. Happily single but wants others to be happily matched. Successfully matched hundreds of couples. Has her own matchmaking show on Netflix. Hates XY the Health Guru, who the hell does XY think she is acting all healthy on TV? Something about XY irks XinYue. Planning to get Rockstar Jing and Soccer Star FL to sign up as her clients. Eligible bachelors should settle down.

FFYY - Senior partner at a law firm. Known to help clients exact maximum revenge. Currently is in charge of Rockstar Jing's legal matters. Feels strangely protective of Rockstar Jing. Why is Jing acting like a kid with FL? This matchmaking agency run by someone called XinYue is dubious, I don't like her. The Hou security team looks shady too. Will keep an eye out for Jing.
Hou - Runs security company supplying bodyguards to the rich and famous. Based on his previous life, I am guessing this is gonna be a dubious company also. LOL Or shall we have him walk the straight and narrow this time?
