I enjoy reading the many POVs. Everyone on this page so passionate about their favourite characters and can get carried away at times, it is good to remind each other. And we should be mindful of what we write.

To me all the characters are right from where they stand. I feel for all of them. I need so much tissues, XL is sad, I am sad. Jing is sad, I am sad. CX is sad, I am sad. Goodness gracious, my poor heart and liver. 💔💔💔 Hahahahha...🤪😅😁

Also, personalities need to be in harmony in order for a relationship to persevere. A passionate relationship with lots of fights may not be for everyone.

Jing's personality suits XY because he is "softer" and XY is "hard". Even XY acknowledges this. But with his softness, he cannot bear to hurt his elder (that evil hag of a grandma) which resulted in him hurting himself and XY. Dang it, he should just have eloped with XY, come back with a pregnant XY or a baby and declare XY his main wife. That would have solved a lot of problems and shut people up about him being soft.

I think it is natural to have one's favourites, but we need to be fair in our critique and see it from the situation, the person's upbringing/background and person's personality.

A soft hearted person will behave differently from a hardened person. Eg. Jing could not bear to kill Hou despite Hou being a total a**hole. Whereas XY would have preferred to do away with Hou once and for all. Both are right in their own way.
A practical person like FL sees marriage as an alliance. His parents are a good example to him so he will view XY as a way to strengthen his family and not as the love of his life. etc

But yeah, to each their own. Everyone has different life experiences and will see things differently. .Just hope everyone stays respectful and that this page does not degenerate into madness again like in S1. 🤪😅
