I just made it to Ep 6, but I had to fast forward many of the scenes with the mother. She is a pain and a hypocrite. Sings a different tune once she found out about the boy's background and was suddenly willing to put up with humiliation. And keeps sticking her nose into Mai Cheng Huan's personal affairs. Ahhh...in the novel, it was a happy ending. The family was reunited. In the drama, by showing TTJ in the shell, they are trying to say that he is regenerating himself back to rejoin his family, but that is vague and open to all kinds of interpretations.
