That's the beauty of CDrama. There are so many different types of looks for the director to choose from and not everyone looking similar because they went to the same plastic surgeon. Xiao Shunyao is more of a rugged guy. He is not the scholarly dainty young master type. Another kind of attractive. I am neutral toward him and want to see his portrayal of his character in the drama. Same thing for Fang Yilun. I want to see his portrayal of his character in the drama.
This reminds me of Daniel Criag. I remember back then I thought Daniel Criag was the ugliest James Bond I have ever set eyes on and wished it was Henry Cavill who got the role. But guess what, DC did such a good job portraying his version of James Bond, I cried my eyes out at the end of the last installment, No Time to Die. So let's have a watch when Shui Long Yin gets released and then decide if it was a good or bad choice to cast XSY as Shen Lang Wei. I think XSY did a good job as the villain brother in Till the end of the Moon. I think he should do fine in Shui Long Yin.
