Regarding LOA. Ziyuan is slightly grating on my nerves. I agree what happened to her family and family army is bad. But the wrong has been righted. Han Ye's grandma and the Marquis paid for it with their lives. And because of her, innocent Anning died together with other soldiers defending the town. Isn't that payback enough? Stop taking it out on Han Ye. *sighs* But overall watchable. What are your thoughts?

TTEOTM was good. Yeah they had to leave out some stuff due to the new episode rule, but it was still logical.
Yes, a matter of preference. There are certain big popular dramas I only manage through 2 or 3 episodes when everyone else is raving about them. LOL
Regarding the TTEOTM male lead makeup, even I who enjoyed the drama thought they could have gone a bit lighter with his makeup. But the male lead, Luo Yunxi, had sustained injuries on his face prior to TTEOTM filming, injuries severe enough that needed stitches and hospitalization.
Due to that, filming for his scenes was delayed by 2 weeks and the crew had to film other scenes first. He turned up to film immediately after being discharged. Thicker makeup was needed on him to hide the bruises and the scar that had not fully healed after removing the stitches. And I guess they just went thicker and stronger with the rest of the makeup on his face to balance things out.
The touch-ups are done in Netflix and in the updated version now available in Youku, you will not be able to see anything there. But in the original version released, at certain angles, the bruise and scar were visible through that thick makeup. It was a really bad injury. Really have to commend his professionalism. I imagine it must still hurt when he turned up for TTEOTM filming.
I watched 1.5eps and decided to wait for it to come out. First ep is rather meh, sure the kids actor did great…
Yes! Lord of the Rings!! 3 hours per movie in the theatre. The last movie was 3.5 hours long. POWER!!! And I cried during the movie. Those guys are great actors. Xixi will be right at home there. Imagine him shedding a beautiful tear. 💧 WOW!!

Spoilers are a bummer for shows that need mystery or suspense. I wouldn't want to know Darth Vader is Luke's dad before I watched the show. LOL Tbh, it made that scene more impactful right when you watch it without knowing it.
So I guess as long as that spoiler does not impact the show badly, I am fine.
