I watched a few episodes of Destined and imo would say you did not miss anything. By episode 4/5, I gave up. Somehow for this drama, Song Yi failed to sell the FL character to me.
In the MDL Destined page, a lot of people who felt the same way mostly stopped around episode 4 / 5 also. I don't think any of the commenters who posted their thoughts hate Song Yi, just that the way Song Yi portrayed the FL character came across irritating and folks could not relate to her situation at all. Instead of feeling sorry for her, folks were feeling sorry for the ML. LOL. Bad right? 😨 The show is supposed to get better in the later episodes, but I am done with it.
I am watching LOA now, overall not bad. I think I should be able to finish watching it.

Same, so far so good with LOA. But it does get irritating at times when she keeps harassing Han Ye about the position (keeping it vague here in case others have not watch) and invading his personal space. But I am still going strong with it, it is a good sign.

To be fair, CDL does suit the costume look and looks nice. But so far to me, she looks nice in an ordinary way. Nothing like WOW in your face. When I first saw Reba in costume in her Eternal Love days, it was WOW, what a cutie and so goddess! LOL So to be fair, I will try to catch a few more of CDL in other costume dramas. Maybe she will look nicer in other dramas?
