I meant better editing for the 40 episodes. Some things were not as needed as others for better story telling in 40 episodes. But Youku team lingered on certain portions resulting in not enough time for other important details. If only they knew how they confused and upset many viewers costing them ratings!! Imagine this drama rated a 9.5 in MDL. It will be a hard rating to beat for many years to come. Anyways...I am still hoping for that special episode(s) for New Year 2024 or CNY 2024 programing. LOL 🤡🤡😅😅

I have a question regarding a scene in the TTEOTM dream arc. I don't understand the part where the god Jize pushed his little page boy down to retrieve the dropped Camellia flowers and to cultivate in the mortal realm. Jize also said the pageboy will have a worldly relationship with the Camellia flowers. I remember in one of the discussions someone mentioned that the little page boy is Pang Yi Zhe?

One of the better ones I have seen after TTEOTM. I am still able to accept. The actors in Beauty Of Resilience made me cringe. Couldn't continue after the 1st episode. 😅

But yes, I feel you. Indeed we cannot compare most actors with LYX. He is just brilliant! Back in the day when he was secondary lead in Ashes of Love, I found myself wanting more scenes with his character. He was that intense, that good in his role. If we put Xixi's shows next to COL, definitely there will be no fight! LOL

For now have you found any drama to watch? Or nothing made the cut still?

I think it is the same challenge of cramping a story that needed more time to tell and character development. COL is the reverse of TTEOTM where the ML is the one who wants revenge on the FL who caused the death of his family while deeply still in love with her. 😅 Anyways...glad to have found a few alternatives to watch after TTEOTM and let's see if I can make it to the end of COL. LOL

I guess the authorities keep an eye on the higher profile actors and dramas as they reach more people?

I made it to 11 episodes of "Circle of Love", I think it's decent. ML is eye candy enough 😍 and acting is not bad. Don't expect too much from the storyline as they have the same issue of cramping the story into too few episodes. But if one has watched enough dramas, it is easy to catch the gist of it and just enjoy the drama between the characters. Or you could try 1 episode? "Circle of Love" episodes are short, only around 12 min. As such, you will not be put through too much pain if you don't like what you see. I will try "Provoked" after "Circle of Love".

Yes indeed, my to watch list is growing. Will go through and probably change some of their status to "Dropped". No hate to the dropped dramas, but after TTEOTM came, the bar was raised very high. 📈

Yeah, I am at episode 11 and couldn't help it and peeped at the spoiler reviews. Sighs, typical Youku style isn't it? Red weddings and not properly done endings. WHY?! LOL

This ML (Li Jiu Lin) is the macho kind of handsome, not like beefcake big muscles kind, but the just nice kind. Super yummy. 😍 He looks good in Xianxia costumes too. I think he is another classically good looking actor like Xixi who looks good in costumes and modern wear. If I have them both in one drama, I think I will get nosebleed and grin like a fool every episode watching them fight off bad guys and taking care of their gals. 🤣🤣🤣😍😍😍

Understand. For me, most of the new dramas fell short and I could not watch more than 1 or 2 episodes. So it's more of nothing to watch for me. LOL

Regarding the predicament most of us have of having no drama match up to TTEOTM standards after watching TTEOTM, I think I might have found something to watch after TTEOTM! I stumbled on "Circle Of Love" quite by accident. Shout out if you are already watching it.

Circle of Love is a drama set in the Republican period of China. Think men in suits and military uniforms, lithe ladies in qipaos and elegant western wear. 😍 It's only 24 episodes, each episode is short and I can feel the rush through in each episode, but I actually sat through more than 5 episodes without stopping. ML is macho handsome and FL has pretty brown eyes. Acting is not bad.

As this production is under Youku, yes you guessed right, it starts with a RED WEDDING. Why Youku, WHY always a red wedding. Sighs....
