I dont get it, why does she ? What purpose does it solve anyway she needs help from him also she must be knowing…
We still don’t know what the writer’s planning. Are they just dragging out the confession between the leads to make it more dramatic, or simply teasing the viewers? Personally, I like that Pei Ji has his suspicions but isn’t completely sure. Maybe the FL doesn’t reveal her true identity because she doesn’t want to use her child as a bargaining chip with the ML. She wants him to love her as a woman, not just feel guilt and pity toward the mother of his child. Right now both ML and FL are totally using each other, so maybe Shen Yu Qing prefers to keep their relationship “fake” to avoid getting too emotionally invested. If she admitted the truth, her son would be in even more danger until she gets her revenge. And if she saw the boy again, it could weaken her resolve and pull her away from those bloody plans. That’s why Shen Yu Qing’s stubbornness in still pretending to be the courtesan Xi Yan in front of the ML kinda makes sense. Otherwise, the revenge would feel way too easy.

Not yet, although there was a moment when he seemed to recognize her. He noticed her flower-shaped birthmark/scar, which is not always visible. The FL is hiding her true identity from him.
I got introduced to this from a TT, there was a wedding, but the bride was different to the FL, does the ML get…
The ML has a wife, Shen Yuan Jin, who on their wedding night drugged him with an aphrodisiac and slipped her half-sister into his bed. He spends the night with her. Later, he only remembers the FL’s flower-shaped birthmark. He knows that he did not sleep with his wife and that she drugged him.
I highly recommend the short drama Sinful Marriage. All episodes are already out. It's been a long time since anything captivated me as much as this mini-drama. You might enjoy it too.
There are so many great short dramas with decent budget nowadays. This is some examples of great short costume…
I agree that there are many excellent short dramas. I’m not sure where the belief that they’re usually poorly made comes from. It’s quite the opposite. The creators have more freedom, are bolder in portraying sensuality, pay greater attention to detail, and the set design and music are often of genuinely high quality. The actors are fantastic, particularly those who can take an absurd, almost cartoonish character and make them, in their own way, realistic and surprisingly complex. In fact, I think it’s harder to find a good, engaging, and well-produced full-length drama than a poorly made mini-drama. Among the newer short dramas, I recommend Sinful Marriage.
I too LOVED this dialog and made a screenshot of it when I saw it! It was AMAZING and perfectly encapsulates their…
There are plenty of these little 'hidden' humorous touches here. Every scene is so well filmed and acted. The dialogue is fairly good, though Mango’s translation, as always, leaves much to be desired. I really liked the scene where the grandmother accused her of not being a virgin on her wedding night. She retorted by curling her finger, boldly declaring that the grandson’s manhood was like a rotten broom, while she was the dustpan, implying they were a perfect pair (assuming the machine translation is accurate).
The main couple here is deliciously twisted, but with style. The creators managed to dodge the cheesy vibe you often get in other “dangerous liaisons” stories. The leads totally know how to lean into their over-the-top roles without sliding into cringe, and the sexual tension between them is off the charts. ML and FL keep messing with each other nonstop, but in this smart, calculated way; they’re perfectly matched in brains and scheming. One scene sums them up perfectly: after the FL’s stepmother gets executed at a party, ML covers her eyes. FL: "Husband, did you do that so I wouldn’t be scared?" ML: "I was afraid you’d be too happy and start laughing out loud." FL: "Husband, you know me so well."
Fang jin & terry Guo looks like a perfect matchI like Zhao Muyan But his role here looks like greentea 😭😭😭😭😭And…
It seems she’s playing the supposedly dead beloved of Ml here. It appears that in later episodes, it will be revealed that she’s alive. So her role may turn out to be significant for the plot.
