I wasn't hooked at first neither but it got better in my opinion.
I think the piece of advice someone gave you was good. If after episode 3 it's the same, it's not for you.

1st episode was solid. I'm intrigued.

Of course it could have been longer but we know that, watching a Chinese BL, it's gonna be edited when the couple become romantic and less toxic because of the censorship. So, it's better to enjoy what we have because I think we were lucky to even have a very romantic and affectionate ending.
I just find it a pity that people focus on the negative side instead of being grateful for this very happy and sweet ending.

I've just clicked randomly on this show on iQIyi and I think it seems interesting after a few minutes.

There is a rule in dramas, if the kiss doesn't happen in 2 seconds (face going near the other face), it means it's a false hope haha.

I'm not that excited because I expect an interruption and no kiss so if it happens I'll have a surprise lol

After the first episode you found it scary? Well, sorry then, I don't see how it could be horror genre at all personally.

I'm at episode 9 so I haven't finished it, but I've read it's not happy ending. That's why I took a break and I'll watch the last episodes in one go later. But I think it's really worth the watch.

I'm sure they have natural chemistry and that they get along very well but we know that it's fan service and it will stop after they finish promoting.

It's not horror. It's supernatural. Only the first episode begins by some scare jumps and a disfigured ghost but I wouldn't say it's scary. And then it's more focused on the spirits and the shaman and cultural things. Nothing scary. If you're a bit afraid of horror genre, you'll just have to go through the 1st episode and then you'll be ok.

I've seen 5 episodes so far. I don't think it's the horror genre but supernatural yes.
The drama got better than in the beginning.

I don't think it will be the uncut version. Do 't get your hopes high...

I didn't find it cringe because it's funny. He could have been cringe if it was serious but the absurd scene were well written, so it became hilarious instead of cringe.
Of course, I can understand some people didn't like the premises because it's a weird idea Wei had but if you just go with the story, it's very much enjoyable.

I liked the drama. It was not only a cute romance but it talked about deeper topics such as loneliness and self consciousness as well as the balance between work and fun in your life.
I thought it would have been better with less episodes.
For people saying that Tojo is not mature for a 40yo. Let me tell you that you're not necessarily serious at 40. You don't stop loving cute thing, comforting things and you don't stop pouting or being childish at times.
I didn't think Tojo's character was too much or not enough. He was probably like a lot of single 40 something years old are.
Main topic was loneliness and I think nowadays it's very relevant.
So, not a perfect drama but I enjoyed.
(But please I hated this plush who was talking all the time haha).

And I'm a single 44 years old without kids so I relate as well 😅

I don't mind a slow burn at all because when I saw it was Domundi I got scared (sorry but I don't like other Domundi's drama because it's really not my style).
And I've watched plenty of thrillers or zombie dramas so for me it's not that different.
As I said I liked episode 1 but people were saying it's so amazing, that's why I was disappointed.
