I agree, he should improved by now, I dropped LOA coz dd and Lyn were eating him alive in acting there 😩 . He should take some voice lessons, acting lessons and anything to improve his craft.
I knew some actors who take criticism by heart and improved their craft , i can name a few , Lyn, wyb, whd and hmh. Now they are considered versatile actors not just a celebrity with pretty face.

i rate this 10 out 10 simply because it is the same with the anime version. the feeling of excitement while watching it is the same. Never mind gong jun blank look every now and then, the rest of the casts played their role so well.

tales of dark river is one of my fave donghua, i fear that the drama can't match up with it, but man this sure is a high budget drama, the cinematography visual effects , fighting scenes very similar to donghua and im happy for that yeah!

Its just that, sumuyu is supposed to be looking polite/ kind but with a chilling aura, the assassin vibe and whoever will play his character should study him and embodied that. Whoever directed of WOH guided gongjun acting there should be the director here.

She wants to leave w/ considering their cooperation with ml and don't like being stop coz she is leaving but when FSG said sure go, she didn't and chase after him? Then always pointing sharp objects on ml neck. What kind? Is she really a strong character or simply an irritating one.

I think in Chinese drama it matters , it's the culture maybe, coz I watched 2 dramas before with older FLs . Best acting but I don't feel the chemistry too, even how hard the ml tried the FL somewhat not chemistreing . anyway that from my perspective/ interpretation as an audience.
