Got to admit I'm getting a bit bored (I thought I was the only one). I think, unless it really picks up, it's…
Yeah, introducing new and expanding on current support roles to fill in backstory and set up the second half can be a bit of a drag on the pace. Likely why all dramas do this in the middle, we’re too invested to be likely to quit because of it.
First of all, love the "Prince Pathetic" moniker. 😂 Secondly, also can't wait for them to work together.…
She won’t risk opening up to him until she’s paid back the debt, too large a chance he’ll divorce her, and she won’t risk losing that access. It’s also likely why she’s putting off consummation, for the same reason. So I think things are likely on hold relationship wise, including plotting together, at least until she gets the decree and comes clean on everything.
yes. but she thinks its her master that is helping not her. so she him as a split personality.
PTSD is also curable, by facing what caused the trauma voluntarily. While DID is not, at least not completely, so it’s pretty clear just by that it has to be the former. Can’t have an incurable female lead…
I really wonder how they're going to handle Ye Li's mental illnesses in a logical way. At this point in the story,…
Part of the going back to the mountain I’d guess. The only way to recover from something like that is to face whatever caused the trauma in the first place, voluntarily. that would be realistic enough to satisfy me, and while love alone can’t heal it certainly won’t hurt the process, for the storyline or in real life.
I'm pretty sure it was intended this way.To me, it would be so weird if she had the time to fall in love like…
100%. This has to be a slow burn, they have to heal first, or it wouldn’t feel real. I think the love is there, the signs are there, but they aren’t in passionate love yet, that’ll happen later, I’d think.
I think the FL fell first, right from the moment he saved her. I also believe she was the one who arranged their…
Then let me join you in that delusion, that’s my impression as well. I’d also argue that his voice and pain being able to pull her back from crazy land into a total outward and concerned focus argues for this to be true. it’s more than just a mission or an act of contrition on her part.
Hmm, the pillow part too, was an indication of her real feelings. When she ran to fetch the pillow I mean, to spend the night with him.
I agree he did as well, but he felt concern and thought she’d changed on their wedding day which gave him pause, which is the reason for his caution at first. that, and his own issues of course.
Lol, bai lu was one of great actress, so i dont understnd wht u sying, as someone mentally unstable, of course…
Approved? It was probably the director’s intent and how Bai Lu was directed to deliver. Bai Lu has no trouble delivering on emotions, subtle or otherwise. Blame the director’s vision if you must, but it’s not the actress’s fault. To me, it makes total sense, given she’s totally cray cray zoning out when confronted about her lies or faulty memory fits the scenario perfectly.
Well if you think more deeply in this situation it's the FL who's really disturbed her mental state is more concerning…
He asked Ye Li probing questions about her chores, is trying to figure her out. What’s real, what she’s lying about, and what’s just the crazy talking and how deep that goes.
He went from doing very little to becoming appointed and he got that other guy to search through the cases looking for corruption and to solve cases.
He tracked down the assassins and went to take them down, and shot his evil nephew with a crossbow.
He also finally gave in and allowed her to try and cure his legs. If that isn’t growth I’m not sure what would qualify.
He’s kind of done a lot for a man that can’t walk again yet. He is clearly developing more under Ye Li’s subtle and scheming influence… LOL
Not sure what else or more he could be doing right now, pending the investigations he has going, including into Ye Li.
Some Transmigration adaptations in dramas failed badly in recent times, it works good in novels bcz writers have…
I agree, the new backstory essentially enables her to have a very wide skillset and expertise without transmigration that is at least possible for the time frame. It was likely the best choice to make it somewhat believable. Second, her frailties and psychological issues also tamp down the whole Mary Sue thing, makes it far more believable as well.
Still, I’ve suffered the same as Andis, expectations can be a pain. My advice is to drop it, then start over in about three to four months. That usually works for me if I’m annoyed the story isn’t aligned with book expectations. This is an exceptionally good drama in my opinion, of course I haven’t read the book…
If ye li knows martial arts, why doesn’t she instinctively use it to save her life? She instinctively used it…
It’s fact that someone with multiple personalities have not only different personalities but each personality has their own muscle memory and separate skill sets. One personality could be good at music for instance, while another could be tone deaf and all thumbs. To access those skills as Ye Li she would need to integrate the other personality through healing. Or it could be as Yulsa said, a shock that had her frozen and overwhelmed. I don’t know how true to reality and that kind of thing the script writer will follow either, perhaps typing this paragraph was a waste of time. :)
That scene when the Ye men took the edict away got me fuming. 😤
I’m wondering if that’s when her maid died, the one she is imagining I mean. She took a hard hit to the head when shoved into the door. Add that to the corpse found in the pool, and I wonder if that’s her body. I guess we’ll find out, I haven’t seen episode fifteen yet. Viki watcher.
It takes a steel like resolve to do what she's doing right now despite all the things she went through though.
Yes, hiding the truth from herself is a coping mechanism. Her strength however comes from her resilience to keep going, keep her promises, and to set things right despite the fact of her trauma. Most people retreat and find the path of least resistance in life, for a whole lot less suffering.
Jing Li is a victim of circumtances. I hope the screenwriter won't make him turn evil. (I've seen that troop before.,…
Because killing upright ministers that share the same enemy and keeping your uncle’s wife hidden from her husband, and treating your new wife like dog crap, isn’t evil? he’s a deluded victim mentality that takes no responsibility for anything, there is no defense for this type of second male lead. Just my opinion of course.
Does anyone think that Master Zhu wasn't there? And all of that was just Ye Li's hallucination?
Yeah, that seems very likely given what took place. If Zhu existed he wouldn’t have let Prince Li take her away, and he’d have had a real sword. Also, pretty sure it’s personality disorder, not just hallucinations.
Her dumb nature is actually really annoying. She actually doesn't have the courage to kill Yeli, still hired an…
I read that scene a bit differently. I don’t think she intended to kill her at all, she just agreed with the assassin’s assumption of her wanting him to kidnap her, because she felt too foolish to admit her true intentions. Kind of a yeah, that’s right, I want to kill her myself, when she really had something else in mind. I mean, she looked nervous and conflicted, self-conscious, before the assassin jumped to that conclusion. She didn’t look murderous at all.
That’s my impression anyway.
Also, Prince Pathetic, LOL
