My point exactly. Hua Yong did not seem to have any regrets of what he did to Sheng Shao You. This is not love, just obsession and abuse. Making Sheng Shao You think Hao Yong might have been raped just to get the drug therapy for his father after what he himself went through? Messed up!

I don't know how SSY can accept all these lies afterwards? Or are they going to do a love trap by getting him pregnant storyline?

I watched that punch again and it only makes sense now. It is weird even on rewatch because throughout the whole scene you can see multiple lamps and lights on.

Thanks for not trying to justify it. The only characters that make this watchable are Sheng Shao You and Gao Tu. Both are being wronged. :(

If I hadn't asked you all, I would have never guessed it was dark. I thought he was blinded but then he landed a punch on Hua Yong's face as well. It was an odd depiction.

Haven't been watching previews. But hopefully it isn't like today's episode.

So far my dislike for Hua Yong's character has only been growing. Besides manipulating and lying to Sheng Shao You and making him pick him over his father's treatement (even if it was a test) was really awful. Now a rape scene is added which is despicable. How can he say he loves SSY after this? Yes, it's a fictional world but we're still dealing with humans and not animals. Let's not explain it away like they do with real life cases. It is devastating for victims.
I am not even sure if Shen Wen Lang also forced himself on Gao Tu but that is what it looked like. I don't know why he couldn't see Gao Tu either but that just makes it worse. Even at that time he was calling him disgusting.
I want to enjoy this show but alarm bells were going off in my head while watching this episode. I didn't enjoy either of those scenes. And to think I was so happy Gao Tu would no longer have to hide himself.

I agree that I don't like dark scenes myself but without reading the novel, there is no way to understand what is happening in that scene. I couldn't tell that the room was supposed to be dark. It looked too well lit.

His eyes were open in the beginning and staring directly at Hua Yong. They should have given some explanation that it was dark because even the part with the straps, everything looked well lit.
