She Leaves but......they keep in touch and she reserches the market and when the Bookstore announces that they are going to open a branch in the town she surprises him by returning as the new buyer of the incomplete homestay. its still not plain sailing and they have to overcome obstacles.

Minglan is powerless. her siblings have their mother's, either the main wife or his favourite concubine, to fight for them. Minglan only has the hidden protection of her grandmother who knows she has to toughen Minglan up so she can stand up for herself so keeps in the background. Even if Minglan knows what's coming there is nothing she can do about it except use her fierce intelligence when she has no other option.

Have you seen her in Empress in the Palace? She played a young teenage concubine (Even though she was in her mid 20s at the time) the emperor was in his 50s. sadly that was not unusual in history where women were in many cases treated worse than animals.

Tan SongYun was in her early 30s when she shot this but does look a lot younger than her age. its a very good drama and the costumes are stunning.

One sided, once he opens up she runs for the hills. He is a nice guy though

The Atraction is already there from ML but FL is only there for 3 months so he is respectful of that. FL is there to heal and is in no place initially to form a relationship. He gives her the space she needs whilst she works out what she wants but he thinks she has come out of a broken relationship. She doesn't revel her friends death until about episode 30. it is not a smooth path but it is a happy ending.

the first episode is there to set up the healing, its like a warm blanket after that first episode.

The father is worse than useless he is only concerned with face and his reputation which causes most of the chaos in the Manor. Minglans mothers death, there is alot to be revealed about this but her father is not responsible.

Apparently she was raised in a family of scholars who fell on hard times and was given as a concubine as part payment of a debt. Really sad life she lead but made sure Minglan was protected by the only person in the Manor she knew could be trusted. Her death has massive implications later on in the drama.

NGCS is one of my favorite dramas, yes Sun Li's character has 4 men intrested in her but none of them help her in her buisiness, she learns it by being a street busker and then cleaning up near to the buisiness academy and listening to the lessons before eventually showing she has more buisiness acumen than anyone else.

i am only on Episode 7 and i am getting a suspicion that it is a re run of Nothing Gold Can Stay.
