Quick Rant

So am I the only one who is finding this show completely pointless??

I fell in love with it and watch it from when the first episode aired. I watch all the 23 contestants and followed them on their journeys and I absolutely love Enhypen and all the members who won.

Don't get me wrong here. I love they are debuting K, Nicholas, Taki, EJ, and Kyungmin in a Japanese group because they deserve it and So does HANBIN as a solo artist.

However, at this point that is 13 members out of 23 (which is more than half) who are debuting through the same company that produced the show and half of them lost the show.

So why even have put the boys through all that hardship? if K, Nicholas, Taki, EJ, and Kyungmin won would they have later debuted Enhypen even though they lost??? It's just weird. And if they are just going to debut everyone then alright ill be here waiting for Geonu, Daniel, and Seon.... thank you.

Again I am excited for the boys who are getting their debut. My judgment is towards the company and its decisions.

Please let me know your opinion! (also sorry for any typos)

Really confused at the 9.2 rating with so many mixed comments here.
It's cause people usually only leave comments when their passionate about something, so the comments are mostly by people who either really loved it or really hated it. Obvi someone who enjoyed the drama but wasn't like "oh this was the best thing i've ever seen" isn't going to feel the need to leave a comment so they just rate it high and then go on with there lives lol. This is why I don't use comments to determine if I will watch something.

no actual story?? this drama is more character driven than story driven. the plot is already there you know like…
I agree, I'm seeing in the comments that a lot of people are disappointed, and I think its just because they prefer more actiony, suspenseful dramas, However this drama is focused more on sending a message about how to find happiness and It's slower, focusing more on the romance and character development. So yeah it's probably just not the kind of genre and pace that they can appreciate. I however thinks it's one of the most beautiful dramas I've ever watched. It touched me a lot emotionally and I learned so much.

I started watching for Kim Soo Hyun and I do plan on finishing it, I like some of the characters and sidestories,…
Well it's 90% a romance so that's what the show will focus on mostly. But the plot is basically suppose to be about a boy who suppresses his feelings and a girl who doesn't hold back from saying or doing anything, coming together to balance out their own lives and fight for happiness. There are actually a lot of lessons to be learned from the plot, instead of a crazy actioned out drama, they chose a heart warming romance in order to educated viewers on how to achieve happiness.
1. Always remember It's okay to not be okay, obviously lol.
2. don't make rash decisions without thinking.
3. Balance is key to a happy life.
4. Don't judge a book by it's cover.
5. Confront your trauma instead of running away or trying to hide from it.
6. try to remember the good memories, not just the bad ones.
7. Don't be afraid to speak up for yourself
8. Don't be afraid to reach out for help.
9. Its better to work things out then fight and hold grudges.
10. Family is beyond and not just narrowed down to blood relations.
11. Don't be held back and fight for your own happiness.

I hope this helped you understand the drama more. <3

Also mydramalist needs to add a dislike button cause I really wish I could dislike so many of the comments. Grr. Sorry you're bias didn't make but he didn't so either get over it please and start supporting the group that WILL debut or go somewhere else. I understand y'all are passionate about the contestants but y'all are tainting the comments with so much hate that people probably wont watch the show and lowering the chance for those who did make it to get their recognition.

There are parts of this that I agree with and disagree with. I agree that an actor should only do scenes like this if they are comfortable with it, and I also agree that most of the time the scenes don't contribute to the plot.

That's all I agree with.

As for my opinion, this isn't puritan times and s*x is a major part of life, life itself literally comes down to s*x. I understand some people see s*xual things as a private and personal thing, but there is also a lot of people who don't. These days it's like if you don't show enough skin you're a prude and if you show to much you're an sl*t.

You also make the assumption that all actors are being objectified and basically used. This is false. These actors are paid ALOT for there work. This is their job, if you chose to become an actor and know that you will want to star in romantic dramas and not a children's show then you should know that there could come a time when showing skin is a part of the script, and a simple scene of fanservice honestly probably doesn't phase most of them.

It's not like the producers make them do the show, force them to be shirtless, take the money, and then throw the actress/actor away like trash. I promise these actors are 3x richer than the people behind the camera anyway. It is a natural and common thing in the world for men to be simply shirtless. I can say with confidence that millions of men go shirtless in public every day comfortably. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being confident.

Some of these actors whom you are assuming are being 'objectified' are probably very comfortable in their bare skin and even love showing off and enjoy the attention. I mean they did become actors. I'm not assuming all men are comfortable with it and they definitely shouldn't do it if they're uncomfortable, but I'm definitely assuming that not all these actors who have shirtless scenes are uncomfortable and being objectified.

There are people fighting every day to make confidence normal. But like I said in the beginning, for a lot of men and women, if they just simply post a pic that's not nude but with a lot of skin. They are seen as bad and just doing it for attention or because they are an sl*t. A lot of people who post pictures like those also could be posting because of their confidence and because they are proud of the shape they are in. It's not something we should bring them down for, or blame their parents, or if they're an actor, the company.

Yeah, so this is why I disagree mostly. Now if they were making the stars randomly do full-on p*rn then I would be like "what the hell" but having a few shirtless scenes IS honestly 'harmless'

I also made the observation that (maybe it's just because it's mydramalist) this article is only based on Korean actors/actresses. You seem so passionate about this cause but nowhere do you state in your opinion that this is about actress and actors in general or all over the world? Just Korea. Even though mydramalist also caters to China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the Phillippines.
Being shirtless is a lot more common and normal all other the world, especially in America, and really hot places like Africa. Maybe you just hold a higher standard for South Korea because they are a more conservative country. ?? idek.

I wouldn't say so. It's a strong bromance whereas the untamed you can tell there is more to it. Still a very good…
Don't let other people tell you if you should or shouldn't watch something. Everyone has different opinions so just because some people say they didn't like it doesn't mean you wont. I definitely believe you should give it a try. Great cinematography, great soundtrack, great acting, great cast in general. Strong male and female leads. My opinion is that it's one of the best drama's I've ever watched. Before I watched it I was iffy only because historic Korea politics always confused me lol, but this show keeps the politics very simple and easily understandable. So yeah always give something a try, if you start watching it and then decide it's not for you, then at-least now you would know lol.
