East Palace, West Palace premiered 30yrs ago this year & was the first Chinese LGBTQ film. Her father was the father of LGBTQ cinema. This is why she includes East Palace West Palace in both her CBLs. It’s an amazing collision of history & progress in LGBTQ acceptance & progression in Mainland China!🏳️‍🌈
