Emma, i'm also halfway through this movie and i feel exactly the way you do! 100%.

I'm only about halfway though this movie but i agree w/ you 100%. the script really isn't that great character-development-wise. i'm not really invested in any of the characters (even though i very much like the entire cast!). the villain guy (excellent actor i've seen in many other projects) is the only character standing out to me. i swear i'm not hating on the movie. i'm a huge zombie/infection movie fan so i am enjoying the zombies/zombie lore in the film!

i was SO excited for this movie. I'm about halfway though it and thus far it's just ok. the only character who has any OOMPH!/personality is the villain guy. the whole cast is good but they aren't really given much to work with script/story-wise.

aevun, i know nothing about guns but i too wondered about that scope on the riffle!

I'm rewatching season 1 again before starting season 2 and once again, MINHYE IS AWESOME!! she's such a freaking BADASS!! i love the whole cast but Minhye was my #1 favorite when i watched the season the 1st time and she still is on this 4th time rewatching!
and Pasin is so Gorgeous and awesome as well!

this was pretty good. AMAZING cinematography/FX/visuals and the acting was good. the storyline was a bit confusing and sometimes inchoerent though.
the k-drama THE HAUNTED PALACE (from 2025), which is very similar in many ways to The East Palace was better imo.

@Taishi, source material or not, Vapor Guy's absence in almost 2 episodes did the show no favors (and i say that as somone who mostly enjoyed the show overall).

not watching the trailer (to avoid any SPOILERS!) but YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!! i'm so excited for season 2!! i loved season 1 so much!

he's smokin' hot! a total cutie imo!

Nod, YES!! the fact Vapor wasn't in hardly any of Ep. 1 and not again until Ep. 3 (towards the very end!!) was not a good idea script/story-wise.

cora, i agree w/ you 10000%! every word! it was also annoying/bizarre to me that Human Vapor guy was only in the opening scene of Ep. 1 and then not seen again until almost the end of Ep. 3!! i'm not saying he NEEDED to be in every scene but to barely use this fascinating character in the beginning eps. wasn't a great idea imo.

imo the wasted screen time was spent on the brother/sister online bloggers (or whatever).

imo Human Vapor guy is EXTREMELY cute/hot!
