it doesn't have romance? really? i saw so many kiss scenes on videos released.
It has romance, but it was towards the later stage of the drama.... The personality/background of the FL restricted Romance... For majority of the drama ,she was not willing to accept her feelings for the ML.
The drama is watchable, although I still feel, it is a little bit overrated... The where many things missing or not properly done to make the drama interesting or engaging for the viewers... I will state few of them below.. • Lack of Suspense/tension: There was no event or situation in the drama that exudes suspense or tension... • Little Romance: Because of the background of the FL , Romance was almost non existent.. Even towards the later stage of the drama when she started reciprocating the ML gesture , It felt fake and not organic... • Fight Scenes are bad: The fight scenes in this drama is not entertaining... The choreography was below par... •Needless Saving : They portrayed the FL as a mastermind - Someone who can predict the moves of her enemies.. How can she predict that with her actions , she has created a of enemies and take the necessary step to protect herself... Hence, I found someone the scenes where she was protected by the ML to be unnecessary... I believe it was only done just to force the romance between the leads... In conclusion, I believe this is just Ia boring, overrated drama... It is not the worst cdrama I have watched this year (nothing can surpassed Ashes to Crown) ... It is just a disappointing watch... In my opinion 2026 has be an abysmal year for cdrama... Most of the drama I have watched (with the exception been the first Jasmine) have been poor...
The drama is interesting, especially the fight scenes, but there two things are found annoying in this drama... The first, is the obsessive loving behaviour of the women in the drama... From the FL to Mrs. Mu , they were behaving like men eaters . The second, is the trajectory of the ML .. From someone that is difficult to train to becoming one the best martial Artist , that was very depressing to watch... I know people Will say it is because of the snake blood, but I don't buy that... They wanted to the ML to be one of the strongest even though it does not make any sense.. This issues aside , I think it is a very good drama...
Why do Chinese filmmakers( script writers, director) do everything in excess in the development of the main characters? How can one person have a role in all of the important events in the drama? What is the use of other characters if the FL must be the centre of all events in the drama... in EP 26 , how did she know they were rocks on the top other the mountain? How come , with more than 20 assassin's and no one could stop from climbing the mountain... How did the ML KNOW what she is planning to do and hide himself and his men... How convenient that , not one the assassin's had the sense try to hide and stood like zombies waiting for death... Do they really think we are that stupid... How easy for heto come in the contact with the sixth Prince.. Some one everyone is looking just came to her without any stress ... What a wonderful coincidence..
Is he bad? I heard he doesn't do kiss scenes so I am reluctant to watch his romance drama but I love Bai Lu
Yeah.. it is true he does do kiss scene....his acting is average, nothing special... I guess, my main issue with him is , if you know you don't want to do kiss scene, why must pick romantic drama....
This is one of worst drama I have ever watched... Everything is just a mess starting with the casting... The ML lacks the charisma , screen presence to be the ML ... The way he expresses himself is very bad.. Also the actors who played the villains in the cdrama are just Mediocre in their performance... The actor who acted as the leader of the martial art alliance/Shenyang palace, who is supposed to be cunning and ruthless looks pathetic and don't let me talk about the so called Duke ... He is supposed to be cunning, ambitious etc , but he looks like a clown in this drama.. Also the extras who acted as sect members can't hold a sword properly... The way the held their swords in a particular scene in the drama is just weird.... The only people who can act are the FL and the SML . Furthermore the plot is not well written . You have people fighting for power,but there is no back story or details on their motivation for fighting for power.... If I may ask , why did Zhu Yan betray all his friends and decided to worked for the Duke? It is because he wants to avenge the death of his parents? Like make it make sense... In conclusion, don't waste your time on this trash of a drama...
This drama is very interesting mainly because of the fight scenes.I have only Watch two drama that features this particular actor.. The characters he plays are only different in the name of the Character, name of the country e.t.c Although than this differences, both dramas can be sum by the following character traits/events.. 1. Arrogant/nonChalant character: the drama always with the character exhibiting a nonchalant attitude plus an arrogant demeanour. 2.Rebellious character: he always reject advise(s) from older characters because of his shallow outlook in life. In snow sword stride in was constantly contradicting his father (Xu Xiao). Forgetting that without the protection of his dad that is forge with blood, he would have killed.. In Joy of life , it is always talk nonsensical talk about creating a pact for himself. 3. He must have an Edge: he must always have some one or something that supports his reckless decision... In joy of life he has the support of Chen Ping Ping / Director Chen .. Who is supporting him because of his mom and Wu Zhu [Uncle] who his supporting him for the same sentiment. 4. He must be a ladies man: in both drama ,in addition to his main love interest , for some reason any lady that Cross part with him must fall in love because he is that special.. In Snow sword stride you have Qing Niao and Xuanyuan Qing Feng while in joy of life is both Si Li Li and Haitang Duo Duo [Northern Qi saintess]. 5.He must risk the lives of people around him in pursuit of senseless revenge against opponent more powerful than him.. In Joy of life he went against the second Prince (an illegitimate son) to just to avenge the death of Teng Zijing , while in Snow sword stride is about the death of Lao Huang... In conclusion, all this traits/event who won't have be visible to me , if the actor was impeccable his acting... Apart from the fight scene, the acting by the ML looks like that of a support actor... When I watch Joy of life I thought his mannerisms/demeanour was at the direction of the director, but after I Watched Snow sword stride I realise that it is own limitations in expressing a character... The actor is just annoying because of how he interpret the character(s) .
